Actually deserves 0 stars. They are not willing to help those in true need when facing eviction due to being unable to work, while awaiting surgery.

Today we were in the office, there was a very friendly woman. She helped with clothes (vouchers) and told where to get food. They gave us very large packages. We are very grateful for your work and help. May God bless you and your work.

If I could give no stars I would. I came for a clothing voucher for my son because he is starting headstart soon and he has out grown his clothing. My family is facing a financial hardship. I was bombarded with questions to why I couldn’t purchase the clothes myself. I was told that the questioning was protocol to justify the spending. In the past I have always donated to organizations such as this especially this one. I will never come for assistance again. The employees have no compassion or empathy.

They have a shelter which I do not recommend. Not able to charge your phone to use to look for work they don't give any thing but a blanket to sleep with and you get that late so you are not able to go to bed early. To get some sleep for work.all they want you to do is give them $10 a night and not help you out

Salvation army needs to do better and hire people who cares about the homeless and not just the paycheck. You all are suppose to be a Christian organization but keep hiring people who dont care about the homeless. I stayed at the Salvation Army-Women and Children's shelter(they moved location temporarily from W Colonial Drive) from March 24th until 4/19 and i received the worst treatment(not only me but others as well). 3 of the workers(Genell, Antoinette & Sandra) there are disrespectful and picking on the people who need help getting back on their feet. No matter how much we try to follow the policy, they are very rude. They call themselves Christians but they dont act like one. The curfew and policies are ridiculous and needs to be changed/revised. They was suppose to help us with things like finding a job, affordable housing, rent assistance, etc but they never did. They keep making us wake up early in the morning and we could not come back until 4:30pm. They keep telling us to find jobs when some ppl are unable to mentally and physically work. It was their job to help us. Waking up at 6am is messing with our mental well being and sleep. The only person that is so caring, understanding, and have an awesome personality is Linda Nieves. She was nice, sweet, stern lol, caring, A woman of God/Christian, understanding and have the willingness to help others. She deserve to be a manager and i believe she deserve a raise. If you are a women and/or have kids and is looking for temporary shelter, this is not the place for you. DO NOT COME HERE.

The online pickup system is a JOKE. Set up a pickup for a piano on 12/6, because the system allowed me to do so. Got a call from a nice guy named Jonathan from SA. Then he showed up, only to tell me that the SA doesn’t accept pianos. This needs to be CORRECTED on the online system so that this doesn’t happen again to someone. Getting rid of a piano—especially when it’s days away from a house closing—is quite an ordeal. My apologies to Jonathan, as I was rude to him.

Who are they helping. I just called to get some information. The woman that answered smacked her lips when I said I needed information. So I asked her who I was speaking with. She hung up on me. Now I have been calling back to get help and she will not answer. This is how they use there donations. This is not the first time I saw treated back at this location. I did need services I just wanted to ask a question.i will be doing more research on this location.somthing is not right.
