After training with multiple strength coaches as a college athlete, I can vouch that Jesse is the kind of coach you come across once in a lifetime! He is very up to date with the research on movement and applying it to his coaching. I worked with him this summer through private and semi-private sessions and it has changed my life. Overall I feel more athletic and comfortable, even with four herniated discs, he helped me feel as close as I have ever felt to normal again. I now trust the way I move and will continue to train with him remotely now that I have relocated. If you’re looking for a coach who will tailor a program exactly to what your body needs and hold you accountable, Jesse is the best. I saw exponential growth from start to finish and still notice a difference as I try new activities. Overall I am more comfortable being active and in less pain due to my injury because of my work with Jesse at Unconventional Strength!

After my 2nd pregnancy, my body was unrecognizable. Not just from an appearance standpoint, but also having constant aches and pains. Training with Jesse has been a game changer. I'm feeling strong, getting more flexible and no more achy body (other than soreness after workouts). Best investment I've made for the longevity of having good health. You won't regret training with Jesse as his focus is on a true lifestyle change and I'm so happy I found his gym!! Highly recommended ??

I have worked with Shelly for almost two years and have seen very positive changes in my body and my mind. I love how she knows what I need and has designed a program that works for me!! Unconventional Strength is a great gym that gives you personalized training and trainers that will do the work, with you, to get you where you want to go. Jesse is very knowledgeable and completely invested in his clients. The gym is centrally located, clean, and with all the equipment any person who wants to do the work to become healthier and fit would need. Highly recommended!

Charles combines years of experience and multiple backgrounds from physical therapy, functional movement coaching, to strength training to deliver a personalized experience that not only improves physical performance but empowers the individual to overcome chronic pain and long term issues. The gym offers everything needed to accomplish this and is continually updated with new tools.

Nice gym with a great trainer. I’ve known Charles for little over a year now and his pursuit of additional knowledge/ certifications has always impressed me. He’s always been a highly motivational and inspiring trainer that keeps us accountable. I came to him with knee, shoulder, lower and upper back pain before learning accessible and practical ways to reduce and eliminate the pain all together. Happy to say that I actually feel empowered about my fitness and more stable throughout my body than I have in my entire life.

After wasting countless hours navigating aimlessly in gyms not knowing what I was doing, getting hurt and not knowing how to accomplish my goals. I decided to meet with Jesse at the recommendation of a good friend. I never looked back. Jesse instructed me how to train effectively, without injury. I've been working with Shelly at Unconventional Strength for 6 months now, and have loved every minute of it! I highly recommend this gym. I found Unconventional Strength while looking for a gym that would help me improve my mobility, range of motion and strength. Coach Jesse does a tremendous job of programming challenging sessions that are consistently evolving.
