I have now stayed at this hotel twice this past year, and both times have been great. As a business traveler on the road 45+ weeks of the year, I have been in my fair share of hotels. This hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful (especially the night clerks handling very early checkouts. The Tiki bar outside is great to sit and hang out, and even to have meetings with coworkers (around the fire pit, or even at several tables available in the tiki area.

Had my doubts about staying this far away from the I Drive heart. But this HGI is great and it's the staff that make it so. From the front desk to the chefs. Food was great. But that tiki bar is genius. The bartenders are fantastic and make this a great place to stay. The construction was happening and that was a little bit of a challenge getting in and out of the parking lot and building sometimes. Hopefully the renovations are good.

Amazing stay! Super clean rooms, hot tub was amazing, complimentary shuttle to Universal. Heather was so nice and helped us so much. Even gave us toothbrushes because we forgot to stop and grab some. China at the breakfast was awesome as well. And we can't forget Cat with her great personality! We loved our stay!Rooms: Rooms were so clean and bedding was so comfy. Worst stay ever! They lightly mentioned that they were remodeling. They didn't say it was the room above. Sounded like a jackhammer removing tiles from 9 to 5. Could not go back to the room to take a nap on Friday nor Saturday. No offer to relocate but given vouchers for horrible unpalatable breakfast. Ruined my wife's birthday. Travelers beware

They started construction at 8am on a Saturday. I was very angry, especially because we left the theme park at 1am for our Halloween event. We got less than 5 hours of sleep. I won’t stay here until the construction is complete. There was a jackhammer directly above my head for almost 6 hours. I couldn’t hear the TV, or the phone call when I called the front desk. It was one of the worst experiences ever.They told me they would be renovating, but they didn’t tell me it would be so loud that I can’t hear my own TV at maximum volume in my room. They try to make it seem like it will be some banging and noise. What I experienced was head throbbing. My walls were shaking.

- Coffee was “meh”, but what can you do. Seems to be a hotel theme.- Fresh made omelet available at breakfast, not the worlds best, but solid, not runny. They need to clean pans better between though because I don’t like onion, and my omelet had a distinct onion taste despite not having any so I assume it was the pan. The other breakfast food is fine, the make up of a continental breakfast. Saying that, being the only “stand out” item you can order fresh being the omelet, $15 for breakfast seems high. If there were additional “made to order” items, then it’d make sense.- Staff were all very friendly & professional, no complaints there- Room was pretty clean, dated. But, they are in the middle of upgrades so I imagine that will improve.- The fitness center was actually pretty nice! No complaints, though they need to post fitness center hours or, better yet, make it 24/7.- The pool is a really cute set up and nice area. Good for family and singles with several cabanas and loungers. They have a tiki bar available (unsure of hours) in the same location and a large hot tub. I spent plenty of time relaxing by the pool, worth it.

Under construction, but was still very clean and never loud at night and usually not too loud during the day. Would avoid during construction if you’re a day sleeper, though. The service at breakfast was always friendly and prompt and the omelettes are as good as anywhere, but they’ll put a hash-brown inside if you ask, which you should... The front desk staff was also very attentive and helpful.Nearby activities: Universal Studios

KAT! KAT! I think thats her name!.She was working 10/07 overnight shift! My family and I had a mix-up at the previous hotel we booked and was trying to find a hotel for the night this hotel have one room left and she made the welcome field so warm. I had my 1-year-old with me we had been in at least three different Ubers we walked to several different hotels in the area and Kat face was a pleasure to see after all of that. She also was very informative about what was open in the area even though it was extremely late she can tell we needed a couple of refreshments

Nice Hotel, currently going thru some renovations, but that is posted and it doesn't bother since it is day time only. Wonderful friendly Staff, good service. I recommend the Tiki Hut Bar. Nice to hang out. Good location close to everything with easy car access.

They allow early check in when available, room keys/cards worked great, size of the room was perfect for the 2 of us, there was a mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffeemaker! Pool is 5-ish ft on their deepest end which is our preference, and the whirlpool/hot tub was nice and well lit at night! Breakfast is all you can eat for $14.99 before tax sounds like a good deal but we did not get to try to breakfast buffet. Cheeseburger from the Tiki Bar (dinner-time kitchen) was decent and the alcoholic drinks were twice as good!Nearby activities: This location is partnered with Universal Orlando and only a 4-6 minute drive to the UO parking lot! Walt Disney World wasn’t too far either!

Overall I think the hotel was good but the rooms are definitely small and outdated for what it is. Other then that everything was fine. It was quiet and I did love the pillows. I just think it needs to be renovated. would probably stay again though. I also think it’s a good location since it was really close to the theme parks.Update: I did come back a second time and there was a roach in the room. I know it’s Florida and there’s bugs but I was up all night scared they were gonna crawl on me.

Currently here for halloween horror nights and there is very loud construction going on and can be heard throughout the hotel. We can't sleep during the day to enjoy the parks at night. This was not declared when booking. Don't stay here.

Great, clean hotel on the Universal side of International. Pool was great. Didn’t eat at the tiki bar but nice to have option. Breakfast was excellent.

Hey! i stayed here in 2019 for about one night.Rooms were spacious, comfortable and cozy.The receptionist was very helpful.The pool was very nice too.All in all a good stay if your visiting major tourist destinations of orlando.

Great place to stay if your are planning to go to Universal ar Icon park, everything is close and you don´t even need a car, pretty well located. Also the tiki bar is great is you want to have dinner without going out.
