We opened up a few accounts at a different 5th Third location. At first the bankers body language showed he didn't want to help us and tried to get us not to open an account.In my opinion because it was more then 1 account maybe he didn't want to do the work. However as time went by he became friendly. Then the next day we checked our accounts and a hold was placed on 1 of them. Fraud dept said we needed tax returns or a few other items which they didn't even know what one of the forms were. We were frustrated and ready to let the account close out. We opened this account at another branch which was not close to our house so we went to this branch which is closer to us and that's when we met Luz Riveria. Even though she didn't open the account she went out of her way to help us with a friendly demeanor.She scanned the documents and said she would personally take care of it and take over the paperwork from the other branch. She definitely could of told us to go to the other branch but she didn't and provided us with exceptional service and saved us alot of inconvenience not to mention the time to go to a different bank and start over. My gratitude goes Luz who knows how to treat a customer and also saved the bank from losing our business.

If I could leave no stars I would. No running balances on checking accounts. Charged service fees when a banking institution did not direct deposit on time and they would not reverse 74 charge. Long hold times for unhelpful customer service even before pandemic. Always have to be transferred to another department, additional wait time. Was transferred 4 times today, the day I am closing my account.

Came in to open a joint savings this morning. Waited 45 minutes in a chair for the banker to get done with a customer. Which is fine, I can wait. But when someone else walks in and the Manager at the counter takes him into the office while making us wait is poor customer service. Not even an acknowledgement. I am a customer, and we were actually deposing a nice sum of Money into the joint account. Meanwhile, after 45'minutes of waiting went online to Ally bank and opened an account in ten minutes while waiting. Wonder why Brick and mortar banks are dying? Why everything is automated? It's convenient! 53 you are not!

Could not believe the behavior of this manager Alex.I know bankers are heartless now I know first hand.I'm will take my business to another bank....he was very rude and didn't care why I was upset...goodbye
