Just do yourself a favor and do not reserve a car at this location. We had the worst holiday experience, simply because our reservation was set for 5pm and when we arrived they were already closed. We arrived the next day, just to be told that the car was already given away and that they were backed up on reservations and didn’t even have cars to show for it? As i scanned my eyes in the lot there was no van in site and they showed no sympathy or tried to help in any type of way. Customer service 0/10- Just don’t book or reserve a car at this location!

The car was fine but the customer service was abysmal. I have a lot to say *especially* if you are an international customer.I am an Indian who has been in the US for the last 2 years. The associate didn't know this but it's important for context.1. The customer associate kept trying to sell us an upgrade for a higher charge when we explicitly and politely mentioned NO 4-5 times in a 10 minute conversation. We asked if our Corolla had Airplay, he said NO and that he can give us the Mustang for a higher charge. Turns out the Corolla had Airplay, as does any modern car. Practically every question we had was met with 'If you pay more I can upgrade you to the Mustang'. And basically acted like a child nodding his head every time we said we aren't interested.2. He then indulged in fear mongering. Tried to sell us 3 different types of additional insurances (we had already paid for the basic necessity ones) by constantly mentioning that since we are international we should get more $50+ per day insurances to avoid 8 odd liabilities. Again, we didn't budge because we've rented cars before in the US.3. Then, tried to sell us an unlimited toll pass for some 50 bucks again. We mentioned to him that we will most likely be driving on the no-toll route to enjoy the ride but he kept trying to convince us to take the shorter toll route and buy the pass. This also happened 3 times. In any case, he knew just as well as we did that the max we'd be paying in tolls from Orlando to Miami was about 20 bucks.The whole conversation could've ended in 3 minutes if he'd just got us to sign the contract and gave us our car, but every 2 minutes he was selling us stuff we didn't need and wouldn't budge until the 3rd no.Please don't treat your customers like idiots.

Avis charge my card for fuel, which I refuel above the level I recieved the rental. I also add toll and I was charge extra for toll upon return. Bad experience I would never recommend Avis to anyone. Please just refund my deposit, $250 to be exact.

They never have the vehicle reserved in stock and will provide you with a vehicle that would be lower than what you paid for. This is the third time this happened to me. In addition, the Hispanic man that seems to be the most senior worker is unapologetic and doesn’t seem to care. He takes no accountability and takes an increased amount of time to provide your actual vehicle. Last time I waited an hour. This time it was 20 mins. I decided to leave this time so I wouldn’t miss my appointment. However, I will not be returning. This was their last chance to show me good customer service and they failed tremendously.

I have rented from Avis for over a decade but will never use this location again. I was charged $450 for a "smoking" cleaning fee. I don't smoke and never had an issue with the company in the past. I picked the car up in Jacksonville the night before and brought it back exactly how it was given. Orlando told me he was not going to remove the charge. Also lied about being a corporate store. This is independently owned. I called customer service and they looked up the vehicle history and found that a customer refused the car the same day I picked up because they thought it smelled like smoke. I guess my smell is not that great. Orlando did not bother to check and I am grateful the customer service rep took the time to actually look into it. The charge was removed by Avis but not by Orlando. Be very careful with this location. I suspect I may not be the only one that ran into this issue there. Avis is a great company and it's too bad that dishonest operators like this one give it a bad name.

Car was given dirty but was told over and over about returning car clean. Arrived to return the car and was not greeted. Customer service rep skipped me and proceeded to help next customer. Will never rent from this location again!!

Rosa doesnt know her job, didn't not tell me that Saturday closes at 4pm. My rental was due at 4pm on a Saturday. Orlando Alvarez stood there help her because she didnt know what she was doing. Orlando didnt tell me they close at 4pm on Saturday. They want to charge me for a day because I showed up at 4pm and they were closed and i seen Orlando sitting at the desk, when talking to him on the phone, he said he wasnt there. (BS!). Also they gave me a car that wasn't full and charged me for that, which I returned the car with a little more than how I received it!They don't know what they're doing but they charge you for any little thing. They aren't doing their jobs correctly!They are doing things on purpose so they can charge you extra!STAY AWAY!___________________________________UPDATE 6/19/23they added another charge, toll charge. Had my own Epass, I went in person to get the Epass, told Maria I'm using my own, and now being charged $16.98.I called Corp. They gave me 2 charges back. Now I Have to call a different number for tolls.Orlando and Maria are SCAM ARTISTS!!!

Refused to acknowledge my (prepaid!) reservation and tried to sell me on a $425 day-rate on-the-spot car rental. Had to cancel my existing reservation with customer service to avoid cancellation charge on my card and of course book last-minute Ubers to get to my destination.

Although I haven't rented a car from this company personally, I live in a nearby building and have noticed that people often park on the top floor to engage in disruptive behavior like drinking, partying, fighting, and other disturbing activities. It's concerning to me and other residents, and I strongly urge the company to either shut down or install a gate to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

Over the last 2 years or so, I have rented 3 cars from avis. I have enjoyed each one. Recently, I was given the pleasure of driving off in a red challenger with less than 200 miles on the odometer. I have my own insurance, They havent given me any issues.One of the vehicles i rentes (the kia), was driven to Key west and back, on the back roads. No issues. The cars may not be spotless, but the ease of renting, and unlimited milage makes up for it in my honest opinion.

I love this Avis location, their cars are very clean and always up-to- date. For the last 2 years I have reserved my cars at this downtown location and I love it. Also, they have great customer service!

If I could give negative stars I would. The "owner " Orlando has got to be the rudest most disrespectful person on the planet. I will NEVER rent from here again
