I went in to get a money order which is free, I got a money order for more than $500 the lady asked me for my ID and I’m over the age of 21. I asked her when did they start asking for that she said it depends on the amount. But the sign clearly says “No limit, no charge, no problem” lucky my mom was with me but I didn’t understand why for something that’s FREE!!! Do not go here they discriminate!!

Usually Amscot is very helpful and convenient for me to pay bills or notarize documents however today was a very disapointing. I went in to get a document notarized for my occupational license. The girl told me that policy has changed and they are restricted in what they can notarize. She said she would have to send my document to her corporate office to get approved. I asked her if it would be more than 5 minutes and she said she couldn't give me any time frame and that it could take a while so I just left. It is terrible that they offer a service and send your documents off to other people and make you wait. Plus no guarantee that your documents will be approved. They shouldn't be offering that service if that is what they will put you through. Especially making you wait for an indefinite amount of time. She just stood there instead of making an effort to call corporate or send my documents quickly. I've never had a problem in the past with getting things notarized and am very suspicious of her behavior. I want to warn others before they go over to that particular Amscot and maybe go to a different one or somewhere else to get things notarized

I came in to cash a check and they thought it was fake and they wanted my father’s number to call him at 1 in the morning to verify it was real. My boyfriend came in and tried to cash his check and they said they couldn’t cash his check and couldn’t tell him why. He went to another place to get his check cashed and there was no problem whatsoever. These people discriminate!!!!

Women name Lin should work in Walmart with that attitude. So sad how carless and rude she is. Funny Expecting people be nice while u been a b..... No no thank you. Cash only cash... As well replace her with robot if she's lost human communication skills! She won't explain anything but she will go through your confidential paperwork!

In plenty 2020 they don't take credit or debit cards for a notarization service. You have to get cash from their ATM.... and of course pay a surcharge for that.

been getting loans from amscot for 4 years now ! always call and get an extension when i can't pay on time & when i called this time the manager armondo was literally yelling at me over the phone telling me she couldn't give it to me when it was my first time calling ! I can not believe how a manager would take care of a loyal customer in such a rudely manner! going somewhere else where from now on

Amscot use to do loans for up to a month payback, and now they changed it to the next paycheck, I just called and they extend it for this time only, the woman that attended me was very rude about this situation and I didn't knew that they've changed it. I have been getting loans from amscot for more than 3 years always paid them back, and now that they can't do the month I will do my loans somewhere else. Amscot will just keep losing loyal clients.
