Mr. Carlos Matos, and his team are exceptional at what they do. These professionals are very kind, understanding, respectful and took care of us during the whole entire loan process. Exceptional and amazing throughout the whole process, Carlos Matos and his team are very knowledgeable and responsive. They are very nice people and will walk you through the process of getting a house loan. I will be using them for all of my investment properties and would definitely recommend them.

First off; where do I start? I contacted Carlos a few months ago to get assistance for my daughter. She was looking to obtain a mortgage as a first time home buyer. The pre approval process was quick and painless. Carlos had explained to us all of the available home buyers assistance programs that were available in our area for her. He went over the different rate options for each program and provided estimated mortgage payments for her to make an educated decision. He guided her through the entire process from beginning to end. He did all of this without her even having a property under contract. After my daughter found the home of her dreams, Carlos went right to work. He locked in a great down payment assistance program for her that made it affordable for her to buy her first home. When it was time to submit everything to their underwriting department, he brought in Mari, who was dynamic. She made the transaction very seamless by going over in great detail all of the documents she had to submit. She went above and beyond and stayed on top of underwriting to make sure they had everything they needed. If they came back with any requests, she contacted my daughter right away and went over what they needed. She even got a home owners insurance quote that was cheaper than what we had found and that saved her over $800 for the year. Her and Carlos worked so hard to make sure my daughter was able to close on her home before the rate lock had expired. Had the rate lock expired, she would not have qualified for the down payment assistance program. It was crunch time for my daughter to close. They stayed on top of underwriting and the title company to make sure they processed all of the paperwork in a timely manner. My daughter closed on her home and is extremely happy she was able to purchase a home for her and her for the holidays!Carlos and Mari, I call y’all the dynamic duals. Thank you both so much for helping to make my daughters dream a reality. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a home work with your company. Look forward to working with you both again.

A mortgage application can be a trying experience. Carlos insisted that I provide the kind of information to the mortgage lender that would insure my acceptance.Like many small businesses my law practice was impacted by Covid-19 and like many in the post-pandemic economy we have made a robust recovery. That recovery could not disguise the financial impact of two years of struggle where few cases were going to trial. The simple reality is that trials and trial settings are necessary for even established law practices to prosper. Nonetheless Carlos felt that I could obtain a competitive mortgage on the basis of current assets and payment histories during the pandemic.It wasn’t always easy, as I was constantly providing additional information to him for the application, but his judgment was spot on. I was approved for the large loan I sought on the basis of bank statements and available assets. My real estate broker was in awe of the effort and professionalism shown by Carlos and his team at 1st Florida Lending,I highly recommend Carlos and 1st Florida Lending.

I can not say enough about how amazing 1st Florida lending is! Jose, Mari and Carlos are very professional, kind, knowledgeable and keep their word! Our lender Jose walked us through the entire process while also educating us about the home buying process and informed us about what to expect and how to research things like interest rstes nationally and how to properly read our disclosures and ask any questions we have. It definitely matters who you have as a lender because you need one that cares and is not just in it for the money! Jose did not waste our time and he got the deal done we set ourselves a six month goal Jose got it done in two! We are bery pleased with our service and will be going back for all our future real estate needs.
