I have taken my car to numerous car shops to fix my leakage problem and all haven't been able to help like Shipman Auto Repair. They have affordable prices, get services done promptly and have amazing customer service, treating their customers like family. Definitely recommend if you need any car service.

My husband Todd took our 07 Suburban to Shipman’s as well as our Chevy work van. The service was great (family owned and operated) and the quality of work was impeccable. We will definitely be taking our cars for there for service every time!

My vehicles have been taken care of by Shipman Automotive since 4/24/2017. Never have I returned any vehicle for a second look or 2nd try on a repair because some young mechanic is learning at my expense.
As a 20-year retired Marine I know my family can depend on a first-rate going over when we have our cars inspected for upcoming trips. Automotive support on Blanding/Orange Park has always been a problem until we walked through Shipman Automotive door.

I have been dealing with Shipman for the last 10 years... they have proven to me that they're honest, hardworking and downright give a hoot about their customers.
I had a 2007 Dodge Ram, I loved my truck. They took care of that truck as if it were their own. I told them I needed to keep it going until I could afford a new one, they did just that until 2022 when my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. 233,000 plus miles and my truck gave out. Ruth called to tell me and said she really didn't want to tell me my truck couldn't go anymore. Ruth helped me find someone that would pay me to take it off the premises. She handled the paperwork (I was at work) and called me to come and pick up the check.
My husband's 2006 Ford Escape died last Friday. They took it and checked it out and unfortunately it would cost us more to fix it than it was worth. So, doing the same thing as we did with my truck.
Ruth and Mike make you feel secure with leaving your vehicle to be serviced. They find out what is wrong, give you options also discounts if you're military. They will not let you leave until your vehicle is safe for you and your family.
One thing I am adamant about, I always have to find an honest and good mechanic no matter where I live. I was fortunate enough that my son introduced me to Ruth and Mike Shipman. They have treated me with respect and honesty and as if I were part of their family.
If you need repairs or even an oil change, Shipman Auto Repair is the place you want to be!!!!! They're #1 in my book.

Outstanding service. My old Pontiac is out of range of many auto repair shops, but not this one. Its staff fought for warranty work (and won) when I had some brake issues, saving me hundreds of dollars in parts expense. They also tried hard to find a (non-essential) part for it; not their fault that they failed; no charge to me for their substantial efforts. They also accepted a tow-in of my newer Ford car on short notice when its steering stopped working and they fixed it quickly and effectively.

I have been a client at Shipman’s for 6+ years. Everything about this local business is top notch from customer service to repairs. They take the time to explain any issues, communicate repair timelines, and always protect the vehicle with floor mats etc. They have even arranged Uber rides when necessary. The shop bays themselves are clean and well organized and Michael and Ruth treat every car as if they or their loved ones will be driving it. I highly recommend!

Incredible service, incredible people. The first time I went to Shipmans, I was immediately greeted with welcoming arms and knew my car was in great hands. Not only do they take amazing care of your vehicle, they also show you that they care, they listen, and they make you feel like family. Before finding Shipmans, I would leave other shops feeling invalidated, confused, and ripped off. The incredible crew at Shipmans showed me what it’s like to finally have people care about your car and your safety. 10/10

Everyone here took amazing care of me and my car needs! Mr. and Mrs. Shipman are super nice and run a well rounded business! Mike at the front has great communication and he's very knowledgeable. I won't go anywhere else!! Highly recommend this establishment!! You won't be disappointed!

We have been taking all of our autos to Michael and Ruth Shipman for many years. They are always very thorough and exceed my expectations. They have my family's safety as their top priority, and It's always a pleasure doing business with them. I've never had an automotive problem that they couldn't solve. When you find an automotive shop like this one, you stick with them for life. I highly recommend Shipman's for all automotive maintenance and repair needs.
