So last October my friend and I went to Las Vegas for 5 days. He rented a car and prepayed online. We get to the rental counter and for some reason their system put up a red flag on my friends drivers license. They couldn't tell him what the problem was, only that the system tells them there's a problem. They say they need someone with a "good" license, so I give them mine. They say they need a credit card that matches the license, just for a refundable damage hold. I give them my credit card and sign off.After our trip, I get a $270.39 charge from Avis. I call customer service, and am told that's for additional insurance. I debate back and forth with her to no avail. I ask if that's their policy to lie to people? Finally she says her supervisor would call me within a couple days. Never heard back.I will NEVER rent from them, nor will my friend.

I have used this location many times. Yes, they are minimally staffed so it can be a bit slow, and the location is a bit awkward being on the back side of the mall, with the cars way out in the parking lot and no drop box. (Try returning in a downpour.) However, I've never had any issues getting in and out relatively quickly (if there is not a clueless renter or a debit card user ...i.e. someone with no credit.. in front of me.) They have always been accommodating with vehicle choice, last minute rentals and mis-bookings that were my fault.

Some staff are great. Some are soooo sloooowwwww. It takes forever to return a car. Why is there no drop box? Why can't someone see that there is a line and take the returns first since it should be quickest. I recommend you place people on hold when there is a line forming. Most of the problem is Avis' process. It's so ridiculous for people who need cars frequently. Can you do an express process??

Great place to rent a car. The people were really nice, and so was the Genesis I drove. Very pleased with the whole process. If I need to rent another car I will definitely be back.

Rude. They have policies and requirements that are not listed on their website. I will never go back here again. Do not rent from here, go to enterprise.

Have rented from Budget/Avis for many years great deals and I LOVE my Amazon rewards. After a couple trips to this location I am so impressed by the helpful, kind, friendly ladies who are always there. They remember my name are willing to go above and beyond to help. It's so nice especially these days to go in get fast friendly service and a great deal.

The young girl that works on Saturday is very unpleasant and made my trip to Avis/budget Undesirable. She lied about not having vehicles, also wanted me to wait to 4 hours to do a soft credit pull. I made a reservation right after she told me that there at no cars til 2pm and magically she was able to do a soft credit check once my reservation was made and try to give me keys. I was at the store at 10 AM and had to wait there two hours just for her to do a soft credit check. I’ve could’ve went somewhere else to try to get a rental car but she insisted I wait there.She proceeded to be slick And state this is why everyone should use a credit card instead of a debit card. I really hope this family’s company train this young lady on being professional and having better customer service. Very rude. The Hyde family can do better than her!

If i could rate ZERO i definitely would. The workers literally stepped over me once the clock turned to 4pm and walked out as if I was not there to pick up my rental.

I worked with Junie today who was very unprofessional and rude. I had a discounted rate from my employer and Junie proceeds to ask for work documents to show proof of employment, I guess since I’m black I don’t have a job with good benefits . I rent cars fairly often due to travel for work and never was asked for documents she asked for. I felt this was a discrimination issue being that she wanted to make it extremely difficult for me to get a car. This will be my last time renting from this center. On top of this, she also overcharged my card! I received horrible service today From her and also from the manager .Also this is the orange park location which is located in Jacksonville Florida
