2501 N Volusia Ave, Orange City“The Days Inn Orange City/Deland was clean, comfy and friendly! I was expecting a motel out of the 60's, but what I found was an unexpected gem. The facility was meticulously maintained. The room I had was roomy and nicely furnished with a small alcove containing a dining area, frig and microware. The property was beautifully landscaped. In addition to a large brick grill and pool there was a shaded sitting area with a porch swing. There was an Ice Cream/Sandwich shop in walking distance, and multiple restaurants and grocery stores in a 5 minute drive. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful. The maintenance worker was truly a stand out. He was so dedicated to the property. He never stopped working. He even vacuumed the parking lot to pick up cigarette butts.”
“We stayed there 1 night we were running around and decided to stay in town instead of driving the few hours home with our daughter. Sereena was super helpful and sweet! We had our 10 month old daughter with us and had her pack n play and other stuff, so I asked for a downstairs unit and she said "We have one left! It was waiting for you!" We spoke a little bit, I asked about breakfast and then we were to our room. No complaints! The bed was very comfy, actually got 4 pillows for our king bed (yay!!)Sereena told us that if we needed anything to just ask and she'd be happy to help, but we didn't need it as everything was great!! Thanks!”
“I'd have given a 5 if it weren't for the faulty hot tub. A shout out to Sierra, on staff, on the night shift. She's very helpful, kind, and nice to talk with. Double queen bed rooms are clean, neat, and sizeable. Breakfast is definitely much better than most hotels. Many good restaurants nearby. I4 is 1/4 mile away. The first night, the hot tub was being fixed so it was not available. Later, they let us know it was fixed, so the next day we got the hotel for another night. Go figure, the hot tub jets kept shutting off after after a few seconds. So if you need a hot tub, go elsewhere.”
