Just to be clear:
The terms "nonprofit" and "not-for-profit" are often used interchangeably, but they can have some key differences:
Purpose
Nonprofits are organizations that serve the public good, while not-for-profits exist to benefit their members. For example, a nonprofit might provide disaster relief, while a not-for-profit might be a social club.
Size
Nonprofits are usually larger organizations that aim to meet a larger need, like the American Red Cross, while not-for-profits are often smaller and serve only their members, like a social club.
Legal structure
Nonprofits can exist as a separate legal entity, while not-for-profits are more like a general partnership.
Tax status
Both nonprofits and not-for-profits can apply for tax exemptions under the IRS tax code, but nonprofits are granted 501(c)(3) status, while not-for-profits can be classified as any number of 501(c) organizations.
Funding
Both nonprofits and not-for-profits rely on donations to fund their organizations, but nonprofits may also have paid employees, while not-for-profits are usually run by volunteers.

I was very upset with good will today went to return jeans because I couldn't try them on they would not exchange because it was over 3 days. Had my receipt and tag still on them. They which was cashier and management did not even say I am sorry. The jeans were given to them. What is going on ? Will find me somewhere else to give and to buy from.

Nasty store with nasty employees will never be back

The prices are unreasonable for second-hand donated items and mostly with obvious signs of long use, one assumes that one goes there to find more affordable prices than new items. But if I go to Ross I get clothes for the same price.

The manager Carol at the Orange City location is very rude and nasty I just wanted to exchange some used clothing after their stupid 3-day policy mind you you can't even try them on I will never shop these outrageous prices again at any Goodwill. my main problem is the manager Carol she is the most rude manager I've ever met in my life?

Too expensive to not have fitting rooms in these stores. They do allow exchanges only, but what are the odds of you finding something you like again. I will never shop at or donate to goodwill again.

Imagine my surprise! Goodwill is almost like a Ross Stores. When did Goodwill a supposedly not for profit store become so pricey? Goodwill is supposed to be helping poor and fixed income individuals by providing donated items for very little money. What has happened?

Goodwill is not trustworthy- they have raised their prices. However they have not raised quality control. Their prices would make you think that the quality would be the same or better than something you would buy on Ebay or other places you go to buy quality used merchandise. This is far from the truth. While the item you buy may have been tested, it seems, with electronic items, all that is tested is if it turns on, NOT whether it functions as it should. I have experienced this multiple times. Since they also have a terrible return policy. This would is dishonest business practice. Beware

I come here all the time. I decided to come a few mins before close because I knew I wasn't going to buy anything. as I'm walking in the store Carol took it upon herself to yell at me in the parking lot that they are closing in 5 mins. Mind you she is also in the parking lot as well.At first, I thought that was weird and rude , but maybe she was trying to be helpful. To make a long story short, the store announced they are close and to place bring items to the front. I did not have any items in my hand. Again, I am making my way to the exit in a timely fashion. I literally looked at the shoe to remember the brand to come back tomorrow and get it.
Before I can even turn there is Carol yells at me again from the front of the store, and we are closed. But there was another person checking out and another gentleman in the back of the store. Carol needs to know how to communicate with customers. You would think a woman in her age knows how to speak to customers. I worked retail, and it was not expectable to yell at a customer while you were in the parking lot and inside. Unless this is good will protocol to yell at people. I would like to see that protocol. Shame on you CAROLLLLL!

Janetta was extremely rude, she complained that I walked up to her register but her light was on and there was noone in line. Also did not say anything to me throughout the transaction and just handed me my receipt like I was an inconvenience to her day at work.

My experience at Goodwill in Orange City, Florida was incredibly disappointing. Not only does it seem like they prioritize profits over community service, but their refund policy is also atrocious. They refuse to exchange items and give customers a hard time for every request. It's a shame that a place meant for charitable contributions operates with such disregard for customer satisfaction. Lol we are the ones who donate they don’t deserve it.
