I love the staff at Walmart’s pharmacy in Okeechobee. They have a job to do and rules to follow, some of the negative comments are probably because they are following protocol and customers don’t understand. I found the staff to be very professional, prompt, and caring. They are kind and compassionate. They give customers the care and privacy they need when discussing personal information.

I chose to use Walmart as my pharmacy and regretted it 2 months later. I came across a problem to where they wanted to talk to my doctor before filling my medication. The doctor wasn’t answering so I drove almost an hour to my doctor office only for Walmart to tell me that it was to early to pick up my prescription which I can understand, even though it wasn’t to early. I just don’t understand why Walmart would lie and string me along and have me drive an hour to my doctor with 3 small children. My uncle who was dying used to use walmart and switched to heartland pharmacy and told me to never use walmart because they try to act like doctors with your prescription when they’re job is to fill the prescriptions that the doctors are telling them too. After 3 months of using that pharmacy I know understood what my DYING uncle was trying to tell me.

Disrespecful staff! totally unprofessional people working in the pharmacy! I find it disrespectful for the pharmacist on duty to tell me: I am going to prepare the prescription now, I wait about 10 minutes for my own pleasure since that was supposed to be prepared already, as I saw how long it took, I decided to take a walk around Walmart to which the prescription was ready. A few minutes later one of the girls with a lot of sarcasm and in Spanish says: hector moreno needs to go back to the pharmacy, I repeat: hector moreno must come back. I am amazed at the unprofessional way in which I communicate and to be less to my liking when I return they all looked at me and were laughing, I commented to the cashier that I did not understand why to call me on the intercom that way if the pharmacy never said how long it would take and I could pick up the medicine at any minute and she kept quiet and stopped laughing while the others continued to tease. Then the one who seems to be a doctor gives me the prescription and I ask her for how many days the antibiotic is and she says: the doctor didn't tell you? I answer no! She also did not know how to tell me being the PHARMACEUTICAL and decides to ask her partner on duty. With a lot of annoyance but teaching them what courtesy is, I pick up the medicine and tell them: have a nice day everyone! They look at me and I didn't even receive a thank you. If you are going to match your work, at least do it professionally, we are clients, not neighbors or friends!

I have gone to Walmart pharmacy for nearly two decades. It is convenient, and it is good to be notified when scripts are ready.

I would actually give them zero stars. We are average working people with a family. Every time (we no longer use Walmart pharmacy) we have tried to get medicine for our sick kids they are so rude. They do not acknowledge you as a customer, and act like they could careless. News flash: what does it cost YOU Walmart pharmacy to be kind and decent to other human beings? This tone is set by the management or leader because it is not just one person who acts this way.

This is the WORST pharmacy or should I say the woman pharmacist is the worst! She took it upon herself to refuse to fill my meds even after my DR called and told her to. I havent Used them since 2012 and now I remember why. I am So angry at the way they treat people that I won't wven shop in the store anymore. This pharmacist need to get off her lazy bum and research before she accuses people of things they ARE NOT doing!!! Simple fix....do your job! Plenty of other people would love a job so if you don't want to do it move out of the way for someone who will treat customers with some compassion and kindness. It goes a long way!

Big, well stocked. Associates actually ask if they can help you, LOL, in Miami they walk away from you and most can't speak English and ones who do don't know where any thing is.
