“Family owned and operated. Wonderful atmosphere! I love shopping here! I would rather shop here than to give my money to Walmart any day! This family deserves recognition to the highest! Thank you for your local service to the community!”
“I buy my meat there every month but it used to be cheap not no more Only if you catch it on sale also buy my produce As well as tortillas & the drinks that they make fresh.”

You will need a lot, and I mean a lot of napkins! The staff there are delightful people. We are so happy we stumbled upon it on our road trip!”
“The cuisine at Ridge Market Cafe is an unexpected dining pleasure. Oh my goodness...the diversity of the menu on a daily basis is incredible, I want to try every single item and God-willing I just might! The down-to-basics Cheeseburgers, Cubans, Egg Salad on Rye, Onion Rings are true comfort food... bringing back lip-licking memories straight from Mom's kitchen! My favorite so far is the Chicken Parmesan nestled atop Fettucine Alfredo served up with a piping hot slice of buttery garlic bread...although the Chicken Curry makes a mighty tasty treat too! The new owners and chefs are so welcoming and eager to share their culinary delights, this new Cafe right here in Buckhead Ridge, FL has quickly become my favorite treat to myself...time and time again.”

They also serve hot food ready to order at a fair enough price for any hungry person wanting to fill their bellies. Staff are natural Spanish speaking individuals so have your google translate handy or bring your bilingual friend with you if need be.”
“I've been traveling to Okeechobee weekly for over a year for both business and pleasure and La Placita has been my favorite spot to replenish and recover from the road. This is a small BUT colorful and dynamic place. I read other reviews and I can see this place been so busy that maybe one or two people didn't get the attention they truly deserved but again it can get really busy. The owners not only "own" the place but work it hands on from opening to closing. Iv'e seen it. Food is exquisite and very authentic Mexican. the groceries offering are exceptionally varied to cater everyone. I was happy to find products like the legendary cafe "La Carreta" and the delicious "Princess Mama" Black beans...We need more places like this which truly define our rural America.”

“I like visiting this Spanish supermarket. They have authentic Hispanic hot food ready to serve as well as all the ingredients to prepare a dish from scratch. The Prices aren't going to have you deciding one or the other, and if so ask for assistance from one of the staff members they are helpful and can more than likely find whatever ingredient you need or an optional one for a little better price. Over all I recommend La Queretana Supermarket to anyone with a need for such a place.”
“I've been to this spot many times. We camp nearby at Kissimmee Prairie campground and really there is no other spot to stop into for supplies. But it's changed names a few times and now it's the 700 store. We stopped in this past weekend just to grab a drink for the road after camping all weekend. it was the same 'ol country store I had always liked stopping into. It has a lot of character, in a small convenient store sort of way. The pumps outside don't work as far as I know, so we parked there. We walked into a few people buying beer and lottery tickets, and they were all chit chatting a bit. Honestly, it made me end up buying a lottery ticket too, wat the heck. But before that we just took in the vibe of the 700. Random construction items, excellent frozen treats, lots of beer, and almost all the camping items you probably forget to get on the way to the area. We had run out of marshmallows the night before and made a note they had them stocked. After grabbing a couple sodas(and those lottery tickets), we were abck on the road. For sure next time we drive buy, we will stop in to just appreciate a good 'ol country tore.”

A very rude person was mad at me and husband once because I was grabbing my 1 year old and they didn't want to wait for the check out. The staff was very calm an collected and informed the man he could wait for a minute while he started cussing us and him out under his breath. The staff members were completely calm and let us know we weren't in any kind of trouble and their level headedness was extremely appreciated!”
“It's a Walmart. They didn't have any hot deli food out at 1:00. So I grabbed a pre-made pulled pork sandwich instead. It had way to much BBQ sauce on it & really sweet. I won't get another one of those!”
“1st time. Looking for push broom. It was ok, but I wasn't shopping for anything else at time. Just looked around & it had lots of empty shelves. Otherwise it was a clean & organized store. It was smaller than the ones down south.”
