Dr. Sheridan and his staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I appreciated his conservative approach when discussing GI treatment for our pup.

Wonderful location, caring Dr. and staff! We had a unique situation in the way we encountered and adopted one of our cats, but they remember the names of both of our cats and ask about them every time I go in (which is often, considering I have one cat who is diabetic and needs insulin twice daily, we are there roughly every 6 weeks - to at least pick up a new supply which has helped keep him alive for the past nearly 18 years!) When our vet in Clearwater retired, and the remaining vet couldn't see our rescue cat for two weeks, we found Starkey Ranch Animal Hospital who got him in same day to check him out, a day later for shots and exam and lastly two days later for his neutering. If I could rate higher than five stars I would - they are deserving!

They're quick to make an appointment with, it's pretty clean for a veterinarian place (you pet owners know what I mean), and the staff are always friendly.

We've been going here for a number of years, and the team has always been accommodating. We first started going during Covid when we weren't allowed inside. We've had two different dogs have surgeries here, and the prices were lower than we expected. They're extremely transparent with pricing and not pushy at all. Cannot highly recommend them enough!

We own Florida K9 Center in odessa florida and only vet we use is David in Starkey Ranch Animal Hospital. These guys go out and beyond to satisfy their customers. I highly recommend them ! They are polite, experienced and their facility is like a resort in there! We bring all our dogs there!

We have used Starkey Ranch Animal Hospital twice to perform two different procedures on our dog. Our normal vet that we take our dog too was not comfortable doing either of the procedures because of her age. We are very happy with Dr. Sheridan and his staff and pleased with the results of both procedures. I think their prices are very reasonable and will use them again in the future.
Thank you Starkey Ranch Animal Hospital for taking good care of our pet.

I find it interesting and disturbing that Dr. Sheridan contacted the person who referred me to him to "explain," yet no one from his office contacted me to apologize nor explain. Confirms my decision to not return. I'm very disappointed, as this practice came highly recommended as one who isn't corporate and understands the needs of rescue. The first visit was okay but not particularly impressive. I don't like it when my cat is taken from the exam room to be treated, so that was the first red flag. Perhaps it's just his personality, but this vet acted like he really didn't care one way or the other that we were even there. We returned with Ella two weeks later for a sedation exam of her mouth. We were given an 11:00 a.m. appointment. We were then contacted to bring her at 9:00. When asked if this was a "drop off" or would I be waiting for her, the receptionist had no clue. We arrived promptly at 9:00 and were greeted with, "Is this ......? (wrong name). I said, no, this is Ella for her sedation exam. I was told that we were two hours early and I responded that we were asked to be there at 9. Receptionist asked if she was still coughing and sneezing. Ella has not been coughing nor sneezing. Clearly, she had no idea what was going on. I asked if I should wait, but was told not to wait don't wait because her appointment is at 11. (then why was I asked to come at 9?) I left and was gone from the practice less than an hour when I received a phone call from the vet that Ella was ready to go home. He said that her mouth was improved from the last visit, and he gave her a shot of Convenia. She's to return in two weeks for a follow up exam and potentially more injections. Had I known that Ella would be ready to go home in only an hour, I'd have waited, as I don't live around the corner, and this was very inconvenient. It took me two hours to be able to pick her up. When I arrived the vet, from another room said "wait a minute" or something to that effect. He was barely audible. I waited about 20 minutes for Ella to be brought to me. The receptionist didn't know if the vet wanted to speak with me or not. I paid the bill and left. I had high hopes for a really great vet/rescue relationship but that apparently isn't going to happen. Except for the one person with curly reddish hair, I felt like my presence was at best an inconvenience and at worst an imposition. Such a shame - and their loss, as my rescue of 23 years spends a ridiculous amount of money at veterinarian offices.
