Absolutely worst customer service in town. Office manager is rude and has no idea how to treat a customer.Make an appointment and just come an hour later. You'll be right on time.

We took our rescue lab for a teeth cleaning. The vet spent time with us and our dog and answered our questions. Great place !

We brought our furr kids to Dr. Nelson when he was in Palatka. We gave the new vets that took his place a try, but it wasn't a good fit. It's worth it for us to drive an hour to Ocala for Dr Nelson. The staff was awesome . He's kind ,compassionate , and considerate of your pets as well as their human parents. Best vet ever. He's been treating our fur kids for 16 years. I wish our people doctors were are good as the doctors at Skylark!

Have been going to this vet for a few years. Made an appointment 3 weeks prior with Dr Nelson. Went to appointment. There were approx 3 other customers waiting. After waiting half an hour asked receptionist how much longer to see Dr Nelson and was then told he had left earlier after his surgeries. Why weren't we told that when we checked in? Very poor customer service. Will definitely be looking for another vet. Pet lovers beware.

Wow. I was completely shocked after reading the reviews….. I thought this was a lovely veterinarian office until after I had to pick my pup up…..First and foremost, before I even dropped my dog off, I had notified the front desk that my dog is EXTREMELY anxious. She is a shelter dog and unfortunately she comes with a lot of trauma because of it. When I went to drop her off, I was only taking my dog to get her regular shots and for a check up. I had also mentioned to the front desk that I would like to speak to the doctor about getting something for her anxiety - (something she can take everyday…) and I mentioned that she had a lump on her chest that I also wanted the doctor to take a look at and get an opinion on. (Which I told them exactly where in her chest to find the lump)The only other thing I was concerned about was her nails - which the front desk told me I didn’t need to worry about since they clip all the dogs nails during their visit……I come back to pick her up and when it’s time to meet with the doctor, all he had to tell me was how stressed and anxious my dog was during her visit and that she “kept screaming and crying”…. Mind you, this is a VETS office, which they could of SEDATED my dog a bit to make her more comfortable, especially being that I gave them a lovey heads up about her anxiety, BEFORE HER VISIT..The doctor said he was able to give her all her shots and said she was overall a healthy pup, which I’m grateful for! When it came down to asking the doctor about her lump, he insisted he didn’t find one on her…. And when I asked about her nails being clipped, he said that they were able to get the job done, which again, I felt relieved and happy. Especially being that she was also getting sent home with anxiety medication. It was my mistake because before leaving the vets office, I should have checked my dog…..I get home and I’m checking her… after over a 700$ vet bill later…. And her nails are extremely long, the same way I dropped her off AND I can clearly feel the lump on her chest…. Which the doctor told me he didn’t find it!!! (Which I’m no professional but didn’t take me much to find it…)I called the office and spoke with someone at the front named Maddie, and I was actually calling to see if I can speak to a doctor or Vet Tech there, to see if they can tell me how much of her anxiety meds I can give her, that would relax her enough for when I take her to the groomers (for her nails)…Well, Maddie was not the nicest and didn’t even seem to care about my questions or concerns.. so that’s when I asked her if I can speak to their manager because this should have been done in the first place when I took my dog there! (Which I still have not gotten a call back…)So what it looks like to me, these people don’t give a f*ck about your animal and just want your money… cause I still have not gotten a call back from “her manager” about my dog….Be careful where you take your animals. I’m tempted to ask for the video tape they took during my dogs visit to see if they even gave her all the shots she needed… cause they made sure to take all the money they needed. WATCH OUT.

I love Dr. Nelson he always cares for my cats like he's taking care of his own. He's very willing to explain things a second time to make sure we understand what's going on.

A phone call the day before surgery? "I'm sorry" says a voice on the phone. So let me get this right. I schedule a surgery for my dog over 2 weeks ago. I have to take time off work for this because my dog is 130lbs. Someone will have to lift her into the car to get her home. My wife certainly can't do this alone. This day off will cost me 300$ plus the 500$ surgery for my dog because she is a large breed. The excuse for this last minute bump, 2 dogs have come in today with life or death injuries. I do feel terrible for the owners and hope the poor animals a speedy and full recovery. One surgery will take place today and the other tomorrow. life and death surgery taking place tomorrow? Even still maybe like the rest of the world the doctor should stay late and deal with the emergancy and not carelessly bump people. The rest of the world does this to maintain care for their customers. Shame that scheduling means nothing to them. Oh and no I don't like the cook spitting in my eggs so I won't be sending my undercooked food back. Now I will have to take my pet somewhere else have her looked at, pay another visit, schedule another surgery, wait through another heat cycle(giant dogs have giant cycles) and take another day off work. Good on ya guys...... There's that stellar customer service.

The staff is excellent! Laid back but passionate knowledgeable. Dr Drew is great with both our labs, always patient, kind and gives great advice. I wish he was human Dr also! I think our dogs might like him better than us?Definitely loyal to Skylark.

This was our first visit to Skylark and was definitely a positive one. The waiting room was full, but we only had to wait about fifteen minutes. I found the staff to be pleasant and efficient. My dog was trembling in the exam room, but Dr. Nelson knelt down at the table to soothe the fears before examining and giving the required shot. That impressed me. The overall caring attitude is what convinced me that I’ve found my new vet.
