We like Steph's positive behavioral approach. She has so much insight into the ways dogs brains work! Lyda, our young English setter mystery pooch, was a fostered to adopt from Greece with no household/suburban experience. A sweet, energetic but curiously submissive 2-year-old. We had two sessions with Steph, one private, and one joint with my daughter and her Bovier puppy. Our first lesson was teaching Lydia to allow people to leave the house without her escaping. The second was managing her playful enthusiasm with another dog. Both times Steph assessed the situation, gave us insight, and taught us new skills. Many behaviors are improving or resolved. I can now leave not only through the back door, but in and out the gate without interference. We are looking forward to our next lesson.

My mother’s dog, Millie, attended the three week boarding training program. The whole team was so very accommodating. Millie was an 11 month old Springer Spaniel Miniature Poodle Mix that was timid and undisciplined. They returned to me a much more confident dog that loved the interaction of commands. When around other dogs, Millie now enjoys running and playing with all sizes at all levels of play. Still two months later, she no longer chews on the furniture or other off limit items. Suddenly all of her toys are sufficiently engaging and she is passionate about her interaction with my mother. The bonus of six weeks of group classes afterwards was fantastic for me. Mother cannot get around easily, but I was able to pass on all the commands and tricks to her. We plan to continue using Procyon Training in the future for higher levels of training so that Millie can eventually be qualified as a service dog.

Mary met with our goldendoodle at the home. In just a few sessions, she did a remarkable job with "the dog with low self-esteem." Outstanding trainer and I will continue a few more sessions with her following the holidays to fine-tune any issues which may come up. A credit to Procyon!!!

We moved to Ocala & wanted our dog Echo to learn some more skills to prepare for the arrival of a new baby in the household. I considered several local trainers - but certifications, reviews, personality & a compassionate approach were all very important to me. I decided to do an in home consultation with Stephanie & we decided she was the right fit immediately! Echo now knows a few new tricks, is a lot better about personal space, and we will continue to use Procyon for dog training with our new puppy too ?.

We had a great experience working with Stephanie. She is very knowledgeable and engaging. She really takes the time to explain what we are learning and why we are learning it. Stephanie is patient and kind and we highly recommend the 6 week course to anyone looking to start obedience training. We had a great time and learned a lot. We look forward to joining the next class soon.

I have a very energetic husky who could never go for a walk without ripping your arm off in the process it was also impossible for me to walk into my house without being jumped on and he got a little protective with other dogs around food but after Procyon helped train him and show me what I need to do to help keep him out of those habits it’s been an amazing transformation for my dog we can now go on walks without me being dragged along with him and I can walk in my house with being tackled to the ground lol he’s also doing better with the food protecting with other dogs they helped me a lot with my best friend and he’s a lot happier for it as well I will now bring every single dog I will get in the future to this amazing group of people

We recently took a family vacation and used Procyon Trainings pet sitting services to care for 2 of our family dogs. Mary was our caregiver/sitter and she was absolutely amazing!! One of our girls is a bit stubborn when it comes to “going potty” but Mary handled her like a professional.We can’t say enough good things about the care Mary gave our fur babies while we were away!! Thank You Mary and Procyon!

We highly recommend Procyon Training! They are training both our dogs (one to be a service dog) and doing an amazing job. We are also loving the group classes!

No one else I would trust with my dog! They are absolutely the best and send updates constantly when boarding with them. They put training on my dog while they had him and I couldn’t be happier! I adopted my dog from them years ago and always go back to them for any care when I am out of town! Love them dearly

I had a wonderful time. Our trainer Mary was patient with both me and my dog. The lessons were easy to understand and very helpful. I will be continueing with Procyon with additional classes as they were a lot of fun.

Procyon really understands dogs to their core and, are so knowledgeable not just about basic obedience training but about behavior based on breed and genetics. Amazing working with them to not just train myself and my dog but to build a better relationship with my pet!

My dog Kora is participating in the group training class at Pet Supermarket . I have found that the classes are well thought out, with very good personal attention by the instructor Mary. Every week there is short review on what was taught in the previous weeks, then new exercises are introduced to strengthen Kora's knowledge and engagement. The pace is never rushed, there is ample time for questions and answers. I appreciate the level of interaction and training for both Kora and myself. Thanks to Mary, Kora and I are getting to know each other better.

We recently adopted an 18 month old Weimaraner that had been severely abused as a juvenile. We tried several different trainers and techniques, with virtually no success. When we were at the brink of giving up, we found Mary. With her help and training, Puppy is now a great family member. He is loving, affectionate, and mostly well mannered. He is still a work in progress... but I have absolute confidence in Mary's ability to continue with us while working towards perfection. Anyone who is really concerned about having a well-mannered, well-behaved, manageable dog will greatly benefit from her training. I wish there were more than five stars.

Life saving work from Procyon Training! I am a first time Siberian Husky owner and was not prepared for what that meant. My boy had some issues, especially when it came to other dogs. For the past 4 years I felt my metal health declining but I didn’t want to give him up. I tried another training company prior, tried looking up videos, I joined Facebook support groups. It wasn’t until the amazing team at Procyon took over that I felt like there was hope. They gave me my life back, they gave my boy a chance at a better quality of life. Incredibly kind people who clearly love, care for and are passionate about their work and the animals they train. I live in Boston, MA and never felt that my boy was not safe and cared for while he was in their hands. Thank you Procyon training! I highly recommend them!
