I lived in one their properties for 5 straight years and never had any issues. 2 months before moving out, new management came along and decided they were going to pull a fast one and not give me my security deposit back. Not only did they take my money, they wanted to charge me extra for false accusations and pay for whatever services they did to the home after moving out. The whole office doesn't know how to communicate nor are any of them on the same page....ever.

Terrible Horrible property management Company! Beware before renting a home from them or giving your home to them to manage! I was stuck with them for 8 mnths and it was awful. Every time I called for a repair or any needEd anything whatsoever it took over a month to get any help. No calls back, zero follow up, the vendors they use are 2nd rate. Many times I would have the same thing fixed more than once to get it correct. They will overcharge you they will charge you incorrectly and refuse to refund your money. They will also come up with bogus charges when you move out so they can keep part of your deposit. (I have paperwork proof on this) The house I moved into had all sorts of problems starting the literal first day in the house. This took a solid 3 months to get fixed (all the while she was blaming the homeowner for not getting back to her) Overall just a terrible experience! Do Not Rent From These People!! Do Not Let Them Manage Your Home!!!

Due to the covid pandemic my husband and I fell short just like many other families. They refuse to renew our lease or help to give us more time until we find a new home. We have children as well and will be homeless. In this day and time being a Christian is hard. We will continue to have hope. This is so sad. We also had our air conditioning break down three times while leasing from them and each time in the middle of summer waited a week and the two other times over a week to have anything fixed. Praying that this companies heart grows.

During 1 of worst times the world has had in 100 years these people are just as rude and inconsiderate as can be. My mother's car broke down after an 8 hour work day of manual labor, after picking up 4 of my siblings all under the age of 15 the youngest being 6. After getting the children home in the following day or so they managed to push the car into the closet parking lot. Which was Preferred Properties. She had arranged to have the car towed back home for repairs. The day that was arranged to do so they had already had the vehicle towed.
What has bothered me is the lack of humanity in the people whom work at that office.
Since it was private property they did not have to put a notice on the car. I had hoped that God gave the human in them to do so. But they choose a different outlook.
I realize the car could be considered an eyesore and could possibly be bad for bussiness. I feel that a decent human ( not to mention a business trying to make a reputation and money ) would consider that the owner of that beat up broke down car in their parking lot may have already been going through hard times. Hence the beat up broke down car in their parking lot... but not 1 human could speak, stand up or obviously even have a thought like that. To maybe be kind enough to put a notice on the car.
I, myself was extremly rude to lady who relayed the information to me. I pray God forgives me for that. I found out after the incident that my mother had entered marion county reators a year or so ago to try to find a place to rent or rent to own , and they were rude to her then as well ...
I also pray that God is with the people at that bussiness, to put kindness in their hearts to maybe have more decency and consideration for the next time that issue ends up in their parking lot. God forbid.
I feel things, and situations like that help make or break a business. Along with showing the type of people they are. Because of those 2 different incidents
Preferred Properties would not be somewhere i would take my bussiness with the lack of humanity they showed. May God be with you people ? ? ?
