I do not usually write negative reviews, but when it comes to animal care – here I go. I have been to PPACC multiple times over the past 7 years? 8 years? It has been a lot of years – with both dogs and cats. Sometimes I went to a vet closer to my home for emergencies. This past week my 14-yr old cat has been sneezing – a lot. I was going to take him in any way for a senior exam and thought I would add the sneezing on; I recently lost a cat to kidney failure and after doing everything possible to help him he was just ready to go over the bridge. So, when Fred started sneezing, I panicked that something was now wrong with him. I made an appt online on the website for Saturday at 145, choosing the last appt of the day due to my working on Saturday. I arrived at 145, was brought into the room and the first thing I experienced was not a “hi! How are you? How is Fred?”, in fact my cat didn’t even get a greeting, I was basically talked down to for not answering my phone earlier so that I could come in earlier so that the dr could leave early (per Dr. Bauer, “I could’ve left 10 minutes ago!”). The Dr told me she called me "several times" and I did not answer. So, I looked at my phone, one missed call from PPACC, no voicemail message was left. I explained I was working and when working I cannot stare at my cell waiting to take any calls that come thru, …. Because I am working! Nor could I have come in earlier just because you wanted to leave early …. Because I was working! This did not matter, according to Dr Bauer I not only need to answer my phone, but I should also not use the scheduling on the web site either! Then why is it available to people if not to use? So, all of this before discussing my cat. Then it was all very rushed, and still at no time did she even acknowledge my cat by petting him or talking to him. The whole not answering the phone was brought up again by her. It was horrible. I apologized to the front desk for keeping them when they could have left early only to be told by the genuinely nice girl that they don’t close until 2 anyway. Will this stop me going to Paddock Park? No. Dr. Gail is fabulous. Will I go back on a Saturday when it is Dr. Bauer, even though that is the most convenient time for me due to my work schedule? Absolutely not. There is no excuse for how I was treated today and no excuse for treating my cat like he was a rush job so that she could get out of there.

I moved to the area some time ago and did a lot of reading up on what the best place for cats is here in Ocala and found this one. Every single vet tech, surgeon, doctor, and front desk staff member has been helpful, kind, and empathetic. I’ve had about 3 visits and a surgery with one of my cats and they were both handled lovingly and delicately. They are all about health and are reasonably priced. The surgeon answered all my questions thoroughly, he is knowledgeable and experienced. The vet techs did as well and encouraged me to call them daily for updates on his recovery 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Paddock Care ❤️?

Everyone is friendly and caring! They treat my animals as if they were their own. LOVE Paddock Park!
I had to come back and update my review. Recently one of my pups was diagnosed with IVDD. I can't accurately describe in words how incredible Paddock Park has been to both our pup and to us through this journey. Their compassion is unmatched. They truly care about their patients and they care about their patient's families. I don't know what I would do without Paddock Park. Thank you so much for all you do! Thank you for caring beyond measure! Thank you for loving our babies as if they were your own! Thank you!!!

I tried them cuz they accepted my pet insurance. They were still overpriced and it took forever and when I got customer service from the place I get my pet meds to call them to verify my prescription, they couldn't even do that. I won't be using them again

Dr Chelsea is amazing ! I completely trust her and know she is putting her heart into her work. She literally provided my family with a regimen when other local vets gave us nothing to bring comfort to our 15 yr old chihuahua! She is the best! Highly recommend ♥️

Be careful buying meds here. They charged me more than 100% of Chewy's price on Rimadyl. They added $21 for a little dog's nail clip after charging me an office visit.

Saved our poor Johnny's life! We brought in our 5 year old cat Johnny for severe urinary blockages and decided to do the PU surgery. Dr. Gail did an absolutely amazing job, reasonably priced compared to others, and gave us a peace of mind regarding every detail of Johnny's condition. Long story short, Johnny is now fully recovered, healthy, and is back to his happy life herding the chickens! We highly recommend this clinic if you have a similar situation.

The amont of money that veternarian offices charge people for services is one of the reasons why people let go of there animals at places like walmart. Its hard to rescue and help with these prices for pets.

My experience was beyond malpractice and GROSS negligence but due to the circumstances, I will wait to share the entire saga, enough to fill an entire well documented book, the second it is legally prudent to do so. I want no other family to suffer what we have and will do everything in my power, along with the help of some of the best veterinarians in the Country, to do that.

If you have a cat, I would recommend taking them to a cat specialist/vet such as Brick City Cat Hospital or to the Cat Hospital of Palm Harbor, or any place that seems like they care about cats. I took mine here for a wellness check due to an issue he was having with litter box usage. The doctor took one look at him, asked if we had any other cats or made any food changes or litter changes before shrugging his shoulders and saying he didn’t know why.
He didn’t offer to look into the issue further such as it being a possible behavioral issue such as anxiety (he had stopped cleaning himself recently as well which we assumed was stress or anxiety related) or something worse like a gastrointestinal issue, since he was only pooping outside of the litter box. No asking about previous vet history, no attempt to collect a fecal sample to test, nothing. The vet tech that came in to see him to de-mat him, however, was very sweet.
This wasn’t the only issue I’ve had regarding a cat either with them, as my parents had issues as well with anybody even attempting to care about their cat and her issues. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, they seem more interested in money for lackluster check-ups than your pet.
