Pet owners and animal lovers please be aware of the deadly risks that can be done by the services humane society of Marion county have to offer. They could send you home with a dying pet and a out of pocket vet emergency bill, like they did to me. To keep in mind the free pitbull neutering advertised on there Facebook page. Unfortunately I didn't even want to have my female dog neutered but due to my living situation I had too. This was an act of veterinarian malpractice and my experience here at humane society of Marion county was awful, it was life threatening and life changing I highly recommend going to an actual veterinarian to have your animal neutered or spayed. The staff here were so overwhelmed with getting as many people in and getting them out to open the operating table for the next victim. As I picked up my reimbursement check none of the employees were even concerned about my fur childs well being the girl calmly rolled her eyes walked back to get the check and handed me it in an envelope as she asked if I had any questions or concerns I could barely hold back my anger and felt humiliated at her question.

I’m sorry, but I can’t believe I paid for something that didn’t even need to happen. I asked for them to check a cat about a breathing problem. I told them ahead of time she had a scheduled appointment with sheltering hands for a spay. They told me that it was a pallup or something that they could easily pick out with a tweezer. ( they new it was there before sedation, it didn’t need to be sedated) I said OK. Since they said it needed to be removed for her to breath. Turns out they couldn’t get it! And still charged me for sedation. Afterwards told me that sheltering hands could easily remove it during the spay. Then why would you people charge me for sedating her to remove it. Maybe it’s just me! I won’t bring another animal here.
