I had a large wind spinner I wanted installed. I was very happy this company agreed to install it for me for. I sent them the installation instructions and they quoted me $375.00. I made several phone calls to try to get an installation date; and eventually was told it would be installed the week of June 1st-5th. I was contacted by there installation man on June 5th and he said he’d be at my home in about 30 minutes. He decided to drive around to the side yard to be near the installation site. The directions I had provided, that I handed the installation man a copy of, called for a 12” wide by 36” deep hole. I stood there while the hole was dug. When he was done the hole was almost 24” wide and 40” deep ( I was there when he measured it). He filled the hole with the 4 bags of concrete he had with him. Since the hole was larger than it was supposed to be, there was not enough concrete to fill the hole. He called someone to bring more concrete. When the person arrived he had 3 more bags of concrete. The hole was filled. The installation person came back the next day, assembled and erected the wind spinner. When I spoke with Ben at the office he told me I would be charged an additional $55.00 for the extra concrete. I did not think that was fair because if the hole had been dug in the correct dimensions, no additional concrete would have been needed. After asking for a review, they took $15.00 off the bill. I begrudgingly accepted the minimal discount. When I received the bill they had charged me $29.05 in tax. I was told that was tax on the concrete. I pointed out that tax on 3 bags of concrete would be about $1.05 and I felt 29.05 was outrageous. They revised the bill using fuzzy math.They ended up charging me $437.23. I feel I was taken advantage of.
