Woman that works there now is the most miserable person I’ve ever been serviced by, can’t believe she even asked to leave a review. This used to be one of my favorite places to do business with.

Wow! I've never has this bad of customer service in my life. Short hair (life sucks) AMY was such a ...... I don't understand how they can employ someone that is so rude and racist. I will never be going to this location ever again. I should report her!

In a convenient location and have had a handful of decent experiences here. However, had to mail out some packages today with Amy who was working. Incredibly rude and poor customer service- acted as if everything was a bother to her. Very unpleasant experience, not going to bother coming here anymore.

This is the most adorable little old-fashioned post office. It is something to just walk into to see the old gold colored post office boxes with key holes. The people who work at this post office are generally lovely. The Oakland Post Master is a cantankerous, angry man, who if you ask a question of him, raises his voice at you and starts to "preach" at you, depending on what question you asked. He apparently has been at the Oakland Post Office for quite a while and feels like he has the right to dictate local politics and to express his opinion on any topic. If I see him at the window, I say nothing, get my business done, and try to leave before he can go off on me. Don't get me wrong, everybody else that works there is 100% lovely. He is not frequently at the window, thank goodness. Otherwise it is a quaint, customer oriented, and kind place to be. I recommend it if he is not there.

First time at this location and boy what an experience! The entire post office smelled like weed. Both employees so busy socializing, none of them asked if I needed help until I approached them!! Amy who was helping me with my packages was so rude the entire time while the older gentleman ( the other employee)was huffing and puffing about the printer!

First, Elaine is the nicest person on the planet and treats every customer like they were the most important one she will see that day. It is a throwback to a time when customer service meant something. Beautiful setting, quaint, small and a pleasure to go to. Everyone is always friendly and they go out of their way to make your day better.

Came here to avoid the long lines at the post office on 50/Avalon Road. There is only one register and I was the only person here. The staff was very friendly and helpful in processing my mail. Would definitely use this location again in the future.

I must agree with others as this is an exceptional post office and I too get my mail there via a box and ship from there ONLY. I drive out of my way as well. And I have another box in a neighboring town, and that location is horrible, hence my coming here to Oakland. Thank you PO staff as you shine everyday !!!!

Though I typically wouldn’t ever think to review a post office this place deserves recognition. It’s such a quaint, quiet little post office but it’s the best one I have ever been to. They are always kind and helpful and they always make me feel like I’m more of a friend than just a random customer. I would (and do) gladly drive out of my way just to mail packages from here.
