There is no better butcher shop in South Florida than Smitty's. The staff is amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. The meat is the very best. Always fresh and trimmed perfectly. The wine selection is top notch, whether your budget is $20 or $1,000. And don't forget to pick up one of the homemade pie's.

I have lived in Coral Ridge for 15 years now and and tried so hard to like this “local” butcher. Not only is their over pricedmeat sub par, their customer service is even worse. I called to ask a question and was hung up on when I misunderstood what the so called gentleman was explaining. Honestly this place is just not worth it. Heading to Costco!

Great spot with really good cuts of meat. These ny strips were about 2 inches thick and rich with marbling. Owner came out from behind the counter to talk to me and personally thanked me for my business. Great place.

Not only is the meat A+ and they have gorgeous veggies, condiments, desserts (homemade pies), but the service is top notch. If you are looking for that 1950s professionalism, these men live up to it. Old school perfection.

VERY VERY VERY DISAPOINTED. CAME IN TWO GET ROASTBEEFAND DE PARMA HAM OR DANIEL.THE GUY CUT THE ROASTBEEF FROM TWO PIECES OF MEAT, PILED IT INTO A PLASTIC BAG. GOT HOME ITS A HUGE MEAT BALL. NOT VERY NICE. THE HAM WAS CUT WITH THE FAT ON ITAND WAS EXTREMLY SALTY.... THEY WERE NOT ON THERE GAME.NO NEED TO RETURN.

When you need quality meats go to Smittys. They are friendly & helpful with a beautiful selection of meats, seafood, wines and anything else you might need to finish whatever you are preparing. I love supporting my local neighborhood businesses too. These guys have been a staple of this area for many, many years and for good reason. I make this beautiful onions and brisket! I did not get the meat sweats like I have in the past when I buy that garbage at other stores. Know your meat and where it comes from....very important! Oh and the sawdust on the floor just adds to the great vibe in this place!

As a foodie & home chef, I've searched South Florida everywhere for an authentic NJ type butcher shop to no avail. There are obviously quality markets with butcher shops that I have found but I was looking for old school. After the never-ending search, I was told go to Smitty's. I am so glad that I did. Nestled in a corner of Coral Ridge just off university this charming little store takes me back to when I grew up. From the sawdust on the floor to the unbelievable selection of beef there is no place like it in South Florida. He is "PRICEY" but you get what you pay for. Been looking for good quality Veal cutlets for 26 years who knew they could be found here $35.00 a lb for milk fed veal cutlets is pricey so they better be good. When cooked they were like butter and worth the price point. NY Strip "PRIME" $35.00 a lb also was the best steak I've cooked at home in years. Their options are endless, and the staff was super friendly as I asked questions for future purchases. They have everything and then some and if the rest of their quality mirrors what I recently purchased, I may never shop elsewhere. My highest recommendation.
