I have never been one to leave a review, but after my stay here it felt warranted. The hotel itself is very dated. Rooms are dirty and mildewy, the closest thing I could compare the smell to is an abandoned building. I woke up covered in bug bites after one nights sleep here. The morning staff is rude, we asked for a 10am check-in and did not receive any communication from the hotel that this would be an issue. We showed up and were told check-in would be at 2pm. We hung out on the beach and came back at 2. We got yelled at by the front desk worker saying check-in is at 4pm. He called not even 5 minutes after sending us away to tell us the room was ready… very frustrating especially coming from out of state and because it began raining. The location on the beach could not make up for the establishments other down falls. You are better off spending a bit more and staying next door at the double tree or anywhere else.

The location is excellent, steps from the beach. The pool is big and the room has been updated. Live music from the restaurant next door. Only complaint was not being able to check in on time let alone early. They made up for it by allowing us to use the beach and pool.

The hotel is …. Dated. And by that i do not mean if you are fan of the 80s you will love it, i mean the soap scum on the faucets is that old. Absolutely nothing in the rooms , worn out blankets, dirty tile floors. Your bed sheets will make you wonder if the bottom sheet has been changed from the previous occupants. The location and access to the beach is absolutely great. The hotel seems to be operating on the skeleton crew. Special nod to the afternoon front desk attendant. Slightly neurotic and capable of doing the job of several.

Great place in the middle of everything at Redington Shores. I Parking was easy and everything that you need is walkable.Nearby activities: Lots to do everything is close by and if you want to stay low-key that works too.Food & drinks: Went to a few well-known spots for breakfast and coffee, as well as a couple of things to do at night. There is a bar across the street that stays open late and has karaoke. Super simple and fun. People are really really nice.

This is a no frills motel type location. They have a nice pool and it's a great location right on the beach. While dated, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We just needed a single night and our friends were next door, so we went over and used their beach restaurant.

I gave the room 3 stars only for the fact that it REALLY needs to be revamped. We know that rooms are for you to just sleep and you're there for the beautiful scenery but it rained ... couch was very old and well used. The bathroom had the ceiling coming apart above the sink. Like they just threw up 2 cut pieces of drywall to cover the hole. The bathroom also had hair from previous people. The pull back blind on sliding glass door to go outside, never fully shut so people could see into the living room area. There is a heated outdoor pool, but we did not use it.It does have VERY beautiful view right off the beach, and the sunset was phenomenal!! Would I stay again? Yes, but probably on the 2nd level with balcony overlooking the ocean.Food & drinks: Coconut Charlies next door has a nice small menu and a great drink list.Across the street is a bar... We opened the door and walked back out. They still smoke inside, and it smelled like an ashtray. Very upsetting. Lots of restaraunts within walking distance.

I read all the reviews and looked at all the photos and decided to take a chance on the resort. Our room was clean, there was plenty of extra towels and bedding. While the furniture wasn't updated, we didn't mind at all. We were there for the sun, not the furnishings. The staff was helpful when we needed something and really kept to themselves, which is what we prefer.Sad there wasn't a single item in the kitchen, that would have bern helpful to know. We figured there would at least be a few basics. The pool was warm by our 2nd day, which was great! You're ON the beach, which is 90% why I booked this resort. We would definitely book here again!

I saw a bunch of negative reviews, gave me pause. If you want a place right on the beach with easy access, a pool and not break the bank, that's here. Yes the rooms are basic, they give you an actual key. The lot gets full at night and you'll have to walk, gasp, across the street to park. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Dump. Tiny parking lot, not quiet or peaceful because the place in cheaply built and you can hear everything. The beach is ghetto and gross and the staff ignores people. It's miles from anyplace you'd want to go. Stay anyplace but here.

Great place right on the beach. Rooms have a big balcony with chairs to relax in and watch the waves. No breakfast available and no cutlery in the suites, though has a full kitchen.
