$ first. One doctor (Dr. B) recommended a surgery that was not necessary, and allegedly for a particular condition, but that condition rarely occurs in dogs. She was willing to subject an older dog to unnecessary surgery. That was nearly 2 years ago, and my dog is just fine. They never tell you that they are owners of the emergency clinic in Port Charlotte. Dr. B does not seem to respect a client's intelligence. I explained to her why certain meds were not to be administered to one of my dogs. She left the room, came back some time later, and advised me of what I had just told her as if she were giving me new advice and information. I cannot trust them. Because of her. Sad. The support staff have always been wonderful.

If I could do zero stars I would. They are trying to black ball me and my two furry babies due to being butt hurt over a review for awareness. The vets are denying my other dog's daily medication that possibly is life treating until I find another veterinary due to a review. Our fur babies should not be denied daily medication due to a review. That is wrong period! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VETERINARY! Just do your jobs and actually care about them! No bad reviews would be wrote if you really cared!! Take ownership and responsibility !! Wow black lash again with more lies towards my review of awareness for others with furry babies! Very sad that they don't tell the whole truth ! Beware of North Port Animal Hospital! Over priced and lie. Run Run Run!!!!!! Literally this is my second review ever and only reason was because my dogs and I were done wrong! The back lash from the so called office manager of animal hospital which btw is a very nasty lady with her lies saying I was the problem please no one was mean or verbally abused your staff please. TRUTH HURTS AND YOU DIDN'T LIKE IT! ALL FACTS!!! They are just upset due to they won't be #1 in north port due to a bad review, so they black lash to make them look better. What a joke!! Oh BTW ppl they have heart worm shots vaccines that go by weight 6 months or year coverages. That is never told to the public by these vets. Which cost me NOW at my new vet $67.55 a year for both at another veterinary. Which at the North Port Animal Hospital trying to push a over the counter heartworm chewable that cost $211.00 a month a box OF 6 which always made my dogs sick and never even offered the vaccines for heartworm! Another prime example along with many MORE. I CHOSE TO LEAVE YOUR ANIMAL HOSPITAL................NOT THE LIES LIES LIES YOU portrayed TO MY REVIEW !!!

Very clean clinic with caring staff. They are a very busy clinic and it's a little hard to get in. Hoping that if I have an emergency, they will help make it happen.

When I thought my 19 yr old cat was dying, they were the ONLY practice that let me bring her right in. My regular vet was closed, and emergency vet had a 12 hr wait. After consulting with the vet and his very caring staff, we thought antibiotics and other meds could possibly be what she needed. Truly, I haven’t experienced so many compassionate and empathetic staff anywhere else. I’m so very grateful to them all. And my little kitty girl lives on! Thank you all so very very much.

Staff and doctors all very friendly and knowledgeable. Really like their bedside manners !! Prices are very good compared to our other local vet. We are switching vets for sure.

I've taken all my dogs to Dr. Karen. She is the only one they have ever been to. She genuinely cares for her patients. All the staff are very nice and helpful. Tink, Pierre, Fancy and the newest member of the family, Squiggles all love them.

We found that Dr. Karen Breitwieser of North Port Animal Hospital is a very Competent, Knowledgeable, Compassionate Doctor that is honest in her diagnosis and respects your views. We are very happy in the way she medically treats our little chihuahua and how clearly she communicates her medical treatment plan to our understanding. We recommend her highly for your pet. Highly recommend this practice for your animals. I moved here recently and brought my dog in for dental. The doctors along with all the staff are incredible Being from out of town had anxiety of finding a new practice for my dogs, no anxiety as they treat your animals good and take the time to answer any questions. If you are looking for a veterinarian come here, you won’t regret it.

I've been going to Northport Animal hospital for 20 years plus always excellent always ready to help in an emergency always good advice I would not go to any other vet unless I had no other choice.

Dr. Karen is the best. She and all the staff have been so great since we started coming there. They have worked so hard for my Katie. Today even in the midst of Coronavirus and keeping ppl outside they took great care of us and helped us through the difficult time of having to say goodbye to Katie. I will continue to bring my other furbabies to Dr.Karen as long as possible. Shes the best vet I've ever been to!
