Joann has +++ years of experience, and it shows. I have a business and second home in the NPB and have been looking for a professional with respect to color and cut (short) in the area. Not obvious. I have a home up north in a very urban area with an excellent colorist and stylist, but because I am more local now, I needed an equivalent professional locally. Joann is it. By far. Hands down. She can do anything incredible with her eyes closed. Highly recommended!!!!

Lindy is a stylus/Artist that a station there she has great product and is very knowledgeable, and you won't find many in the area with as much experience. She has been taking care of my father's hair for over 30 years. And mine for 15.

I'll 24, and ive been going to this salon for three years. I trusted Kelly to cut off my hair that was down to my butt and she gave me the most perfect bob and bangs and ombré. The best hair I've ever had (I didn't adopt my speech pattern from our President I promise, I'm so serious about this place). I went to her more recently after having attempted to bleach my hair at home twice and she absolutely saved my hair! I get compliments all of the time. I don't trust anyone else to do my bangs and would wince every time I asked a hairstylist to do my bangs, and always left disappointed - but not with Kelly! Her and Joann are such masters of hair color too, and they truly care so much about achieving the right color, and the most flattering thing for you. They have excellent taste and use the best of the best hair products too. I've never felt so taken care of. You can't be disappointed here!

I decided to write this review because, as someone fairly new to the area, is it REALLY difficult to find a new hair stylist. I was referred to Joann Stearns by a realtor I met who had a really cute haircut. I've been to Joann 4 or 5 times, had her do regular trims, touch up color, highlights, as well as a major cut. The basic color and trims were all perfectly up to standard. The highlights looked good, but there was either too much bleach in the formula, or it was left on for too long because afterwards, my hair was impossible to comb when wet (I've never had that problem with a lifetime of highlights). Finally, the major cut was a bit of a disappointment. I respect that she tried really hard to give me a cut that she felt complemented my round face, but I kept asking her to cut more and she did not. I think she was worried about keeping conservative. In any event, she is a super nice lady who has had the shop for something like 30 years, and I liked her a lot. I just don't think her style was necessarily a match for mine. By way, prices were reasonable compared Los Angeles salon prices (where I came from), I usually ended up paying around $200 for a hair cut, color, and partial highlights.
