“I stumbled in Kavana after a long exhausting search for vanities. I was looking for a thick countertop, when I say thick, I mean 6-10". I saw every store in Doral and they all sold the same things - 1" white countery tops. I hated them. I was sick of searching (every weekend for 2 months). I concluded that all those beautiful Pinterest photos were not real and probably rendered in some way. I passed by Kavana all the time while I was driving around the area during the 2 months but never went inside. It was the last store on my driving route, that I had no energy to check it out. Dropped by finally since this was probably the only store I didn't visit in the 2 month search. As soon as I walked in, there they were. The vanities I saw on pinterest! THE THICK floating marbled countertops!Yamel was my store rep, and she is an absolute STAR. I told her my vision and my future plans. I bought a condo in Brickell and planned to live in it a few years and then rent it out when the time comes. I could tell that this was her wheelhouse because she was not simply a yes girl. I needed someone who was experienced and would provide me insight that I could not consider on my own and would give me the foresight for things to watch out for. Yamel is PRACTICAL and LOGICAL. I wanted a very thick floating slab for my master bathroom and her response was, that's beautiful for me as a homeowner living there, but not practical for future tenants because they need storage. She is so right. We custom designed a cabinet shelf with pull out drawers to be built under the porcelain slab and I had a vision of exactly how I needed this cabinet to look like. Simple. Minimalistic. Originally was planned for two shelves side by side like the ones I saw on Pinterest. Later on when the drawings came out to one shelf I was wondering if this was a mistake. Yamel had practical foresight explaining me that the two shelves are not practical because of the length I needed this vanity to be, 48". The two shelves wouldn't to hold much storage and impractical. Again, she is so right. We made the pull out shelf to be one long simple drawer and it turned out to be a much better look because it was minimalistic. It turned out to be even better than the pinterest photos!My vision was japandi interior style, very earthy, stoney, ash wood but warm, very minimalistic with accents of polished brass faucets and finishings. I brought tile (floor and wall) samples and Yamel understood exactly my vision and chose the porcelain styles that matched the style I was going for. Beautiful veining. Orlando's coordination with my GC was incredible because of all the exact measurements of the corners and angles that had to be considered because these were custom built vanities. Orlando is a specialist and I didn't know the level of exactness that needed to go in to custom building the vanities until I saw Orlando and his team come to my home and build these out. It took an army and extreme patience to fit the vanity in to my powder room because the slab was to fit wall to wall. Imagine how heavy this slab was and Orlando's level of patience to guide his team to fit this huge block in to the space was incredibly stressful to watch and all the more respect I had for him. They also took a few hours to fit all the cabinetry for the pull out shelf to work in my master bathroom, it was a push system that would pop out the shelf and even when it was past 5 pm and the sun was down, they stayed behind patiently to ensure the system was all working.The final look turned out beautiful. Yamel is sharp and she quickly sees the vision giving practical feedback. That is exactly what you need when you are spending the kind of $$$ for custom builds. She is informative and detailed. Orlando is a genius architect. Watch him and how he guides the team, you'll see the level of patience required to install these heavy blocks! Initially I wanted help with kitchen design, but ended up doing much more than the original scope we originally agreed upon.Vizzzio went above and beyond not only by helping me to design an ergonomic Italian kitchen, but they helped me select the right colors and materials, tiles for the kitchen, provided all the pictures on how it would look together and consulted me on the appliances, ergonomics and even ways to save up a bit $ on the countertop.That is when I decided to use their services beyond just the kitchen. They helped me with European windows (better sound proofing), tall invisible doors (and we matched kitchen materials). “I cannot say enough good things about how we were treated by Kay and Fernando at Eurocucina. We’re from New York where you can get any product from any cabinetry designer so people always ask why we went with a designer who was based in Aventura, Florida. We spoke to no fewer than ten designers in Florida and another ten in the New York area and once we connected with Kay and Fernando, their positive demeanor, creativity and flexibility won us over!When we came into the showroom, we were shopping for a closet with a different vendor. Before we left, we spoke to Kay briefly and she offered us some magazines and catalogs. We liked what Kay had in their kitchen showroom so we came back the next day to look at kitchens. Kay wasn’t in but her architect Fernando was there. Fernando was so helpful and thoughtful with his feedback and suggestions that we really started seriously considering renovating our kitchen with them, even though they are based in Florida. We loved the Scavolini designs and products, and Kay and Fernando were an awesome team.Before we started with Eurocucina, we talked to the top kitchen/closet people in the industry and everyone wanted to charge us a fee just to discuss ideas or allow us to see their designs. Kay and Fernando trusted us not to take their designs and run away to another designer with them. We were able to get so much farther along into the design process that it made us certain that we wanted to do the redesign with them because we saw these amazing renderings (that no one else wanted to show). Kay and Fernando answered all our questions and they had an impressive eye for detail and true passion for the project. We went through several iterations and we believed that if they could make something that looked as awesome in real life as it did in the drawings, we had to move ahead and hire them.My kitchen is awesome. We started breaking the rules by making things asymmetrical, having most of our kitchen storage space exposed and visible through mirrored glass, including LED lights everywhere, mixing light and dark cabinetry, including a glass cabinet on the end of one of two islands, installing a drawer microwave in the island and more!Once we realized how good Kay and Fernando are at what they do, we started considering having them design a wet bar and a walk-in closet.We really love the Scavolini color palette that we used in the kitchen so when we started talking about a wet bar in the basement, we were able to use the same color palette, lights, cabinets and shelves that we chose for our kitchen. It was like an extension of the kitchen which makes downstairs feel less like a basement and more like a family room.For my closet, people kept giving us exorbitant prices to include LED lights or put in glass cabinet doors. We talked to the major closet chains but they were interested in cookie cutter things we could almost do ourselves. Once we started talking to Kay and Fernando about it, we started brainstorming about how we could co-design a closet like no one else’s.In the end we were able to coordinate a renovation of all three areas. They made sure we had local expert designers and we stayed in contact throughout the entire process either via Zoom, text, phone, and WhatsApp! Of course, we were affected by the “COVID” delays in shipping and delivery but they always kept us in the loop regarding our status and made calls on our behalf. They personally spoke with the installers, electricians, plumbers, and any other helpers to make sure that they understood the architectural drawings and what needed to be done a particular way. When the project was complete, they sent representatives to check and make sure that everything was finished to our satisfaction.Throughout the entire process we could feel their passion for our projects. We recommend Eurocucina, Kay and Fernando for any project in your home. They are awesome and if we need any other redesign, we will bring the project to them!”

When we set out to find a company to update our entire home, it was a daunting task since we had only heard horror stories from our friends & family of unreliability and poor craftsmanship. I researched and contacted several different companies, some were responsive, some scheduled estimates and never showed up, and then it came down to 3 companies that made it to doing a walk-through and providing an estimate. We ended up choosing Kitchen and Décor, based on their experience and knowledge, and the very detailed estimate that made us feel more comfortable that there may be fewer surprises with additional costs along the way. It also was a bonus to have Monica to work with on the kitchen design as she provided valuable insight regarding the functionality. Once the project began, we were amazed from the first day at the pace and consistency of the work being performed. The team showed up every day promptly at 8:30 am for weeks including some Saturdays. Since we were living in the home during this extensive project (replacing all lighting, floors, trim, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, and glass enclosure for the office), it was especially appreciated that all of the team members working in our home, from the painters, tilers, plumbers, electricians, and carpenters, were very professional, kind, and great to work with.
