I went to this bank with $300 cash to open a checking account for my student son. Unfortunately it was not a very pleasant experience with their accounts rep. They treated us like we were applying for an unsecured loan. They wanted statement or bills with his home address, two forms of identification and they also ran his credit report. I explained to her that he was a student and he doesn't have bills and statements in his name because his parents can afford to support him. It didn't matter, he was denied due to not having a credit history.
We went to Bank of America and had zero issues opening a checking account with $300 cash and a student ID. Bank of America made it simple and we had a checking account opened for him on the same day. I will tell everyone not to use Synovus bank and they will never see my business.

The most shady, unprofessional, and odd working bank. I would stay far away.

I love this location for Synovus Bank because it's in a safe location with a lot of lighting and a lot of parking. Also, the wait times inside of the restaurant are not long which makes it enjoyable.

I have been best community bank in Florida from the days of Being Great Florida Bank to Florida Community Bank and Now Synovus Bank is small mid regional the core value that started M. Mehdi Ghomeshi are still their. The only thing i do miss is unlimited atm use was the best part of GFB.

Do you want to stay on hold for 30+ minutes and then not being helped ? If yes, please go and apply with Bank of America or Chase or any other monster national banks. Do you want to be treated like an ant with your problems or requests? Then Florida Community Banks is not for you. BUT if you want to be a part of the family and get top notch customer service day or night with one on one. Only then FCB should be your choice. I went through 6 banks before signing with them and I will never go anywhere else. They are everywhere in Florida and they are awesome! Also Fernando Perez is amazing!!!

The employees were not very helpful. Was only one cashier who step out of the branch to follow a customer to fill out a form for a large deposit with a lot of information. There was another person that went to the back without offering any help. I asked if there is only one person to help customers and she said “now yes†giving me attitude for asking. Terrible bank!
