Brought a stitching project in today. Something I thought would take a couple days to get done. It was done perfectly within 2hrs.... And was cheaper than expected!Friendly, knowledgeable staff.Highly recommend!

The cockpit cover on my Sea Ray 290 SDX had damaged in the storm. We finally got the boat back about a month ago. I reached out to Scottie and although they've been crazy busy, they got to me within about a month. Bob came out and surveyed what we needed. Two days later, Scottie called personally to confirm. They gave me a very reasonable price. I brought the canvas to Scottie on the day he said at 8 AM and they had it done by 3 PM. Not only did the they fix the tears, rips, shredded felt bottom and missing snaps, they added two vents and better poles to prevent a big spot that pooled water in heavy storms. I would use Scottie's Canvas again without any hesitation.

I wouldn't recommend using them. They replaced our boat lift canopy canvas and it appears acceptable so far but bad communication and customer service.

I engaged Scotties to replace old and torn Bolsters and backrests on my 21' Boston Whaler. Original turnaround estimate was 4-6 weeks however they completed the project, including installation, in 2 weeks. The replacement Bolsters and backrests are beautifully crafted and identical to OEM. Installation technician was quite skilled and answered all my questions on caring fornew vinyl coverings. Only mild complaint was, instead of boat shoes, he wore black, rubber soled shoes which naturally left black sole prints in several areas. These were easily removed using a scrub brush and detergent. In summary, Scotties provided better value compared to other contractors I received estimates from as well as excellent craftsmanship and quick turnaround. I would strongly recommend them to anyone considering their services.Michael Peck

Been trying to get a new swim platform ladder for my 2005 south bend for months now. Started in late October phoned and left a message didn’t receive a return call. Called again and spoke to a rather arrogant fellow I believe his name is Darryl in charge of south bay boats. After I finally got ahold of him he said he would order the ladder month later I called and he said South Bay wasn’t getting back to him. So I told him to still get me one still. Well a month and a half later again no response not even a curtesy call saying we are having a difficult time. So I called today again Jan 10 2023 got reception she wanted to put me through to Darryl again I said no not to as he either doesn’t return calls or is just arrogant and useless. So she puts me through to him anyways. He answered and I said I didn’t want to deal with him. So he said ok and promptly and rudely hung up.AND THEY PRIDESELVES ON GREAT SERVICE bewareService: Restoration

I recently had a seat cushion for my boat made. The dimensions were 36" long by 7" deep by 3"tall. Rectangular shape. Nothing fancy. With a few snaps. See the picture below. $400! You be the judge. Quick turn around time. Staff was professional. I had work done with them once before. Seemed more reasonable then. I will probably have to take my chances elsewhere next time.

For what you will spend with these people you can find someone who will do a much better job for likely less. After two years my very expensive enclosure has needed lots of repairs. I reached out with my concerns heard nothing so here is a warning for others. Best of luck and happy boating

I took my 40 horse Yamaha to Scotty's to rebuild the carburetors and replace the seals in the lower unit. They had it for over a month, they said waiting for parts. When I got it back and paid them $900 I tried to go out but it wouldn't start. I took it back in, they had it for 3 weeks, charged me $900, brought it home and it wouldn't start. I took it back in, they said it was a bad fuel line, charged me $150, I took it out yesterday and the throttle linkage is broken and it wouldn't do anything but idle. Long story short, apparently they have no idea what they're doing. But they sure know how to charge for it. I dealt with Scotty's for decades. I'll never go back there now. I'm in almost $2,500 and still can't use my boat. You can bet I'm taking it somewhere else to get it fixed.

Very friendly and helpful people. I had some foam cut for my camper seats and they took care of me as if I was having work done to a boat. Good local people to do business with.
