We had a problem with the bathroom when we first moved in and it was fixed in less than a day. Very efficient. Great location and neighbors who seem respectful and kind. Not many places took our cat so very happy. Would suggest some changes to how the lease is signed but minor inconvenience in the grand scheme. Very happy we choose The Mile.”
“My tour experience with Alberto (Alby) started well. What appealed to me was the location and the spacious layouts. I learned that management is the same as owners, thus more care would likely go into the building. I was also told many of their staff also lived on site and thus it was also incentive for them to ensure they had good neighbours.I had a friend living there who told me he heard the neighbours above him so when I went home and saw the same layout I saw and was interested in was also available on the highest floor, I opted for that one. I was assured by Alby that unit was good to go for a move in before end of the year and decided to trust him on that. My move in was supposed to be right before NYE and was a disaster. The unit had not been professionally cleaned as I was told it would be with dirt and hair among other things in the drawers and even fridge and had ants, spiders and silverfish and I’m not talking about just a handful. I felt neglected as I had shared these were issues at my previous home and some of the reasons I wanted to move. I was not pleased with initial attempts to handle this however I also understood it required management to handle which would not be possible until after the new year holiday. Thankfully I had some days of overlap at my old home and decided to wait to be contacted by the property manager delaying my move. However things got better which distinguished how Berkshire, a professionally managed residential community, differs from a place with a private landlord. I was contacted by Jessica, the property manager just after New years day who assured me I would be credited for the days I could not yet move in, assured I had cleaners that morning and pest control right away. She also took the time to do a walk through of the unit personally and ensured any concerns would be tended to right away. That’s when I got to meet the super helpful and friendly maintenance staff. Tracy who initially gave me the keys also remembered to check in with me to ensure all was sorted when I officially moved in and despite the initial hiccup, Alberto continued to be helpful and friendly with any questions on moving day and after.Things can go wrong anytime and anywhere but what matters is how they are addressed and what steps are taken to ensure the same thing doesn’t keep happening and Jessica did a fantastic job convincing me with words backed by actions that I should give this place a chance. Berkshire owners whoever you are, thanks for my new home. P.S. You are lucky to have Jessica!All in all, after 2 weeks of living here, Berkshire appears to be a good community, with friendly staff and neighbours, a place my dog loves due to the very pet friendly nature of this area and last but not least, any resident concerns are addressed professionally and quickly.”

“I visited Milagro and before I even saw the unit, I knew I had found my new home. Yandri provided a tour of the property and explained all rules, fees, incentives and procedures. Jose was helpful in answering questions when Yandri was unavailable. Brianna was great on move in day - ensuring I had everything I needed. The property itself is well-maintained and has all the amenities I was looking for and more (concierge, security personnel, garage with EV chargers, exercise room, common space including offices and a printer, saltwater pool in the inner courtyard, coffee machine in the morning for my daily latte). The residents are friendly. My apartment is lovely - tile floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a tub you can soak in, new carpet in the bedroom, washer/dryer.The location is incredibly convenient - you can walk to shops, bookstore, restaurants, etc. Overall, I could not be happier with my new home.”

There always seems to be 2 working and 2 broken for such building of over total 300 units. The pool is beautiful and they do give happy hour treats every week. I love the dog friendly atmosphere of the property, the gym and lobby are beautiful, but its very difficult to have guests come through lobby, when I live in the back of the north building. I have never invited any guests to come through the lobby, a bit difficult to enter so they always enter from the back service elevator and its not impressive to show friends where the garbage area is located. Weekends, rest assure moving companies take over elevators and difficult to use the stairs when one elevator is broken and the other is used for movers. The staff is very nice and friendly to me and my dog, I have not had problems with management and they respond to me very quickly.”

I have a few friends who have moved here and they love it. Every time I go to visit the check in process is easy and the front desk team is very nice. Elevators are a bit too slow and often get stuck + some of the hallways seem to be not well kept but other than that the building is very nice. The gym is huge and has everything you need for a full workout + you can enjoy the most breathtaking view while you're at it!”

They have definitely been the kindest and most dedicated managers.”
“Palm Court is a pedestrian mall in the Miami Design District. It was designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto and Aranda/Lasch and it takes its name from the 50 palm trees surrounding a 7,000 square foot plaza that is an event space used for private functions, fashion shows, and music events. Influenced by Miami's unpredictable weather and sudden rain stores, Fujimoto created two levels of shops that all face the plaza. Long thin sections of blue glass were attached vertically to the facade around the store fronts and they are intended to evoke the image of rain. The glass also creates a kind of curtain that partially encloses the corridors in front of the stores on both floors which Fujimoto calls "small streets". About the design Fujimoto said ""My inspiration was the strong sunshine and the rainfall showers, and to try to integrate them together to create these kind of crystallized showers of sunlight. This is the first for me to use glass not as a window, but more like a half-object to create the architectural space and the first time for me to use color as well." Fujimoto ususally works in white but after visiting Miami he thought that blue would be a more cooling color. The shops lining the courtyard are the type high end designer stores I could never afford selling expensive jewelry and watches. Fendi has a store here as does Pucci, Bvlgari and Piaget. While I don't buy it is still fun to people watch and window shop. If you are looking for food or a drink you can visit the MIA Market, Itamae, Baccarat Boutique BBar & Lounge, and Madlab Creamery. There are also carts and tables set up everywhere selling alcoholic beverages and treats. There is a very nice public restroom next to Baccarat. What I love most about Palm Court however is the art. In the center of the court is geodesic done called Buckminster Fuller's Fly Eye Dome. If you park in the garage you come up through the dome into Palm Court. On the second floor is a giant bust of Modernist architect Le Corbusier who uses the ground as his drawing board. My favorite place to relax In Palm Court is in the web of hanging chairs by German designer Konstantin Grcic that are in front of the MIA Market. Palm Court is an innovative and eye catching destination in the Design District where art, food, architecture, and fashion all come together under Miami's sweltering skies.”
