I don't leave reviews often but after the experience I had, I feel like I need to warn others. About a month ago, I came into this store to make a return on some scrubs that I ordered that didn't fit right. The man who helped me was Benjamin. He had made a mistake and only scanned the scrub pants and not the scrub top. He was apologetic and asked me to do whatever I could on my end to get a new QR code from happy returns or the company I ordered from. I tried everything and wasn't able to change anything since he already submitted the return. He told me that if I had any issues with getting my full refund back, that I should come back to the store and he will make sure I got my refund back from UPS since it was his mistake. He gave me his name and the days and times that he works and told me to come back on one of those days. I waited to get my refund back and only got half of my money back. I came back a few weeks later on my lunch break and reminded him of what happened and explained that I didn't receive my full refund back. He immediately started talking to me in a rude tone and said, "I would have never promised to give you money from our pocket, it's not our fault the company didn't give you your full refund". I reminded him that the reason I didn't get my refund back was because of his mistake and I told him, "But that is not what you told me a couple of weeks ago". The entire time, I stayed calm and spoke kindly to him. He began to raise his voice at me and arguing with me and saying I was lying. I told him, "Sir, I am not trying to argue, I am just explaining the situation to you and what you told me". He responded with, "Yes you are trying to argue with me". I showed him the screenshots of my bank account and what I paid the company for the scrubs and what I got in return for my refund. He looked at them and then began counting cash and slammed it onto the counter and slid it towards me and said, "I'm going to do you a big favor right now and give you your money back, but don't you dare come back into this store again". I was in shock at his statement as I was nothing but kind to him. I told him that I was sorry if I upset him and it wasn't my intention to cause a scene or start any arguments, I just wanted my refund back like he had promised me a few weeks back. He yelled at me while pointing at the door and said, "No, you came in here DEMANDING money from us and you need to leave right now". I knew if I stayed there, it would only escalate things and as I started to walk out, I said, "I'm going to speak to your manager about this" and he yelled back "NO YOU WON'T!". Meanwhile there are customers all around us waiting for their turn watching all of this happen. Once I left, I was in tears and completely distraught from what just happened. I never once said or did anything to warrant that kind of behavior. I was shocked at how a grown middle aged man could yell at a 21 year old girl like that, especially when I was so kind and calm with him. When I came back to work, my boss saw me crying and distraught and asked me what happened. I told her about what just happened and she immediately went to give this store a call and asked to speak to a manager. Benjamin was the one who answered the phone and said there was no manager there. My boss then asked if it was Benjamin speaking and he said yes so she said, "Why are you yelling at my employee?". He immediately started yelling at her over the phone and said, "I never yelled at her, she came in here demanding money from us and tried to blackmail me". She responded with, "How are you telling me you didn't yell at her when you're yelling at me right now?". He hung up on her. My boss then told me that if someone yelled at her in a store the way Benjamin yelled at her over the phone, she would break down in tears too. I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. Horrible, the owner of the store gave me a lecture on packaging over a 6 inch piece of tape.
Extremely petty and horrible customer relations.
He doesn’t make any money on Amazon returns and is very rude.
This guy has no clue on customer service and how to service hard-working Americans.

New owners are not as friendly as the previous owners. Customer service is terrible. If anyone reading this could recommend a new UPS store, I like UPS just not this location

Just drive to the next UPS store….the owner has an attitude with everyone, it is an uncomfortable process every time I have to go inside. I could go on but just save your time and go to a place where the owner understands small business care and the community surrounding it. The proof is here in the recent reviews

Every time I go in, it’s an argument. If you want elevated blood pressure this is the place to go. You get talked down to about how you screwed up your shipping label or some other detail. All of this could be handled in a customer friendly way. I don’t know all the details of shipping items but I don’t need to be talked down to. Treating people like this drives away business. Nokomis is small. Everyone talks. There are multiple reviews saying the same thing I have. Taking my business elsewhere.

The new owner is rude and a penny-pinching cheapskate. All prices have gone up.
Correction: I didn't mean the shipping rates obviously those are standard but the cost of the products in the store i.e. boxes, print services etc. Also, I didn't specify the date I came in so how would you know if the owner was there or not?

The new manager awful, and their negative attitude and misconduct. Policing if you stop front of office for a second for drop package by refusing to take it! That is not the UPS job! Moreover, there's no sign or prohibited line. The issue should be addressed to upper management and UPS.

Over the past month I have visited this UPS Store many times and each time the staff is very pleasant, the line moves quickly, no one gets irritated. Today, once again, a young employee, Irina, very calmly and respectfully explained all the features of sending my box and was extremely polite.

Nokomis UPS Store is the best - Shawn, CJ, Benjamin and Iryne
are great - always smiling, helpful to us old people that have
trouble with our phones and just all the way around GREAT!!

I had a very large antique framed piece of art packed and shipped from this location and they did a fabulous job. I was worried it might get damaged but it arrived in pristine condition. Staff at this location is friendly and reliable!!

Absolutely the worst UPS store Ive ever been to. Crazy mens club of arrogant jerks. Not helpful ; not the place to go, literally go anywhere else. Just awful service

Since ownership has changed-the reviews are all 1 star. Customer service is terrible. I have started driving to the south Venice UPS store next to Starbucks- much farther but at least I don’t have anyone belittle, insult or just ruin my day with their negative attitude and lack of customer service skills.
I’m typically very forgiving and understanding, but I’ve already had 3 negative experiences here… one staff member in particular is very passive aggressive, makes rude comments about customers. Just very unprofessional. No thank you.

The previous owners of this UPS store were wonderful people and a joy to work with. Complete 180.......the current ownership has no customer service skills. Walked in with a package to over night, so far so good.....the took a lot of my money and I went on my way. 5 days later the package arrives. Upon investigating the store did not tag and ship the package out on the 1st day. Went in for a refund.....they told me its not their problem. I have to wait for UPS to approve it, mind you the tracking information is right in front of them. They are wrong and they keep my money. A rating of 1 is to good for this location.
