Ive been a client of BofA for almost 15 years. Just recently I went in to open a business account. While I dont remember the mans name, he is very noticeable with long hair. Every question I asked him, he lied about. Daily limits, transfers to personal banks accounts. He even told me I "couldn't deposit cash into the business account via the atm and I had to come inside". Luckily I found this out relatively quicker that either he's not good at his job or has some kind of ulterior motive. We have a very large sum of money in our account and are now looking to transfer it to another bank.

The ATM Machine never works, and you can never get inside to use the one in there. This building is a waste of space and shouldn’t be open. Worst customer service. No one ever answers the phone. I’ll be going to Chase where the rest of my family banks.

Who does this?
I cut a check for a substantial amount of money from my checking account at a local bank to transfer the funds to my checking account with Bank of America. I deposited the check - which the Bank of America cashed on the day of deposit. That evening, I received an email from Bank of America stating that the check would be on an eight day hold and the funds would be unavailable. Six days later, I received a first class letter from Bank of America stating that they have placed a hold on my deposit because they had information indicating that the check may be returned. This is the second time that this has happened at Bank of America. How is it that the market can settle a trade transaction in 24 hours yet the Bank of America holds my cash for eight days. Imagine the money made by this bank if they did this to everybody that made a deposit. This type of business is totally below board. Call me hustled.
As for the posted, response from Bank of America, – I would like to personally think those involved with writing the highly personalized response.

I'm a long time customer with BofA, both privately and for my business. Associates at this branch office have only limited knowledge of financial products and often simply provide false information. Customer service is practically non-existent. That is unacceptable.

Been a Bank of A for over 30 years and this is the worst service location in over 5 states I lived on. It was bad enough they closed the branch in Downtown Venice, and all of us who live south of Sarasota had to contend with one location. But this location has limited hours, tellers are great, but representatives are far and few between. Also good luck getting someone on the phone. I will have to drive to Sarasota to get real service. What a disappointment.

Went in to finish paperwork for my HSA account, had to provide 2 forms of ID, my passport and SS card. They took the forms and told me they would fax it. The bank never received the fax. Now I wonder if they actually shredded my personal documents. Will need to go back into the bank now. Bad experience, the customer service people looked like they were half asleep and very unwilling to help.

Worst bank branch I have ever dealt with. Long lines, not enough tellers and management seems to have no clue how to move things along. I'm thinking it's time to give another bank my money and time.

I went in to cash a payroll check for $4960. They refused to cash the check because it was over their limit for non account holders. My company deposits millions of dollars but they won't cash a payroll check under $5k?...beware of losing access to your money

Applied for Allegiant cc managed by Bank of America. I’m Canadian and already have a US credit card with RBC Bank but Allegiant card makes sense as my wife and I frequently fly Allegiant and the loyalty points, including free flights, offer good value. Received phone call from BoA to check my ID including my passport. At the end of the call I was informed I’d still need to physically visit a branch to verify my ID to meet Patriot Act obligations. No requirement for an appointment was mentioned. Went to branch downtown Venice FL. Branch is permanently closed. Apparently BoA hasn’t bothered to update their Google profile. Went to a second BoA branch at Hwy 41 & Laurel. Teller told me I couldn’t do the verification with a teller and I’d have to see a manager. Sat for a few minutes waiting for a manager. Woman appeared from the office area (presumably a manager) and told me I would have to wait 20 minutes for a (different) manager or “book an appointment for Tuesday”. Are you kidding. It’s a cc application. I could have gotten a $500,000 mortgage faster. No thanks Allegiant. Your cc looked like a good fit for my wife and me but the approval process with BoA is just to painful. I’ll stick with my RBC cc unless you send someone from BoA to my house to verify. As if!!! Couldn’t this all have been done via a video conference call?
