This place has changed so much with the new ownership! Ashley is an amazing trainer for all levels of obedience and behavior problem dogs. She takes the time to get to know her clients and their specific needs for dogs with aggression or fear issues.

Would give a 0 star if I could, $400 for them to give you a email with advice… that I could have found on Google or TikTok. No one on one training no classes, just a scam. Actually a joke. Definitely find a better place worth you and your animals time.

The only certified behavior specialists in the panhandle! They have the knowledge and skills to truly make a difference and help you work through a variety of behavior issues. Plus their classes are great and get the pups ready for the world. There are so many different types of classes as well. Training staff is kind and very helpful. I love that they are positive based training and my pups do as well!

Debbie was fantastic! We would never have worked through our 11 yr old golden retriever’s food, toy, and owner possessiveness triggered aggression toward our friend’s golden retriever puppy without Debbie’s assistance. We had 1-training session with Debbie with follow-up instructions and continual communication as we worked through it. We followed the process Debbie outlined for us and the result is the two dogs can now be with each other without incident. Debbie recommended a muzzle (treat basket) with detailed instructions on introducing and using the muzzle with other dogs. I never thought my dog would wear it without issue. She is actually playful and chases a small ball she can chew on when she wears it. My dog snapped at the puppy twice when the puppy approached her and put her face into my dogs face, but my dog was wearing her treat basket so no injuries. The puppy has learned to be weary of my dog. Now they walk right by each other without incident. My dog even showed the puppy how to get into our pool, swim, and retrieve. My dog no longer wears the muzzle, but we continue to carefully monitor them so there are no problems. We are so thankful for Debbie’s help since our dogs can be with each other. It is working out better than we ever expected!

I would like to thank you for the great K9 Scent classes over the past 12 weeks.
Pets Behave have helped Leroy, my 8yo Mini dachshund confidence blossom, and we have learned more than we ever imagined possible. Thanks again for the great training. Leroy and I will take the lessons we've learned and I will use them as long as I have dogs.
Picture - Leroy using his scent work smelling for Easter Egg dog treats!
Leroy and I look forward to our next class at Pets Behave!

We love going every week to agility class! Vickie takes time to help and personlize what each dogs strengths are and what can be improved upon. She has so many years of personal experience. It’s a relaxed environment and fun for both me and my dog. Thank you

My Maxwell recently took an Intermediate Obedience class with Debbie. Not only did he graduate, he passed his CGC test as well. All the staff were helpful throughout.

Back under the original owner's management, and I can't recommend them enough! They focus on the person-pet bond for true connection vs. blind obedience. Fun classes with clear direction. They adjust training to the needs of your dog. They use evidence based training strategies that focus on connection and safety. They understand dog psychology and that dogs can get PTSD too. In years past, I took 2 dogs through all of the classes here. Those dogs became Canine Good Citizens and registered therapy dogs. I'm going back now for a new dog from a rescue. When we first got him, his PTSD was so bad we didn't know if we were the right family for him. I reached out to Debbie Revell and got a private lesson that was priceless! It saved his placement with us. All to say, Pets Behave is best!

We signed up for puppy kindergarten over the course of 8 weeks. We have a Doberman who was around 13 weeks at the time we had started and his ears are cropped as well as his tail is docked. The first session with the trainer, Adrian, she had mentioned how she was happy to see his ears were not cropped (they were not standing yet so still flopping over after healing from surgery). We just kind of laughed because we weren't sure from the awkwardness of that comment what to say as clearly she doesn't support ear cropping (which is fine that's her opinion however that comment made us very uncomfortable knowing our boy's ears were going to be eventually standing throughout the next 8 weeks). We also had our Doberman start in bitework sport training at another facility. Once Adrian knew that, it seemed everything our puppy did as a puppy rolled back into bitework. Every session it was hearing "You can't play with this puppy you'll eat it" or "You can't bite this it's not a decoy" or every time he would start playing rough with a puppy it would somehow turn to our bitework training and needing to help him find a way out. I respectfully had told her we were working with our bitework trainer on fixing these things. There was also a time she was watching my wife and dog practice leash walking for the first time with the other trainer, Mary (FANTASTIC), and proceeded to look at me and go "First dog?" as she was very clearly watching them struggle because a puppy on a leash is not a pretty site. That was when I told her we had 2 other dogs at home that were well behaved because of me and you could tell she was taken aback by the comment. When we were taking graduation photos, our boy was sitting still for a good amount of time to get his photo, she then said "I hope I got a photo" acting as if he was misbehaving but he was actually pretty calm while getting his photo taken. Moral of the story, I don't think Adrian is a bad person or trainer, I just think she shouldn't train dogs with owners who do crop ears or dock tails as she makes it clear her Rottweiler is all natural and she is proud of it. We always felt called out each session when her constant comments were made towards our dog in front of everyone and it seemed once she realized his ears were done the 2nd session and he was in bitework training that her view of us changed. Overall, we did learn a lot from the training and our dog has progressed so much. Just not sure I would like to attend a class ran by Adrian again.

I signed up my newly adopted shelter dog, a border collie mix, for obedience training because leash walking manners and reactivity to other dogs and noises were problems. Pets Behave was very helpful, getting us back on track with manners and working together. Small classes, knowledgeable and positive Trainers and FUN! We’ll try Agility class next!

Michael and I were referred to Pets Behave, and there aren't enough positive adjectives to adequately describe how grateful we are! Our commute was more than an hour each way, but definitely worth it! Classes were small so each dog and human had plenty of individual attention. Michael learned so much, and I learned even more. We are growing as a team, and we will definitely sign up for new offerings. The training we receive and the team building that occurs for Micheal and me enhances the loving bond between us. Five Stars for Pets Behave and their instructors! Michael and I thank you!!!
