Petsense by Tractor Supply
1118 E John Sims Pkwy, NicevilleMy review is for the grooming department specifically (though this pet sense is great to shop at and the employees are always kind and helpful too) I brought my teacup schnauzer puppy here for her first groom by a licensed groomer. She looked stunning and so smart when I picked her up. I could tell she had a good time too cause she ran under the doorway to go back to the grooming ladies. My pup had been spayed a month ago and due to her small veins she had two shave marks on both front legs making it appear she has boots on- lol the groomers worked around the shave marks and made her coat flow nicely. Thank you so much! Will drop off my other pooch here in the future for a bath and brush out for sure! (I added before and after photos- maybe should have taken more without her harness on but she looks fantastic!)

Pet Grooming
Dog Gone Cute Grooming & Bowtique
4550 FL-20, NicevilleNice place for taking pups. Easy to make appointments, two drop off times which is great and if running late to pick up pup, they don't complain. Usually, ninety-nine percent of the time, you can get the same groomer and that's a plus!!

Niceville Animal Clinic: Davis Steve DVM
509 E John Sims Pkwy, NicevilleThey were the only vet that would get me a next day appointment in the Fort Walton Beach area. Very efficient staff, took me on time, DR was very nice, personable, knowledgeable and provided some great ideas for where to walk my new puppy to avoid all the stuff they can pick up before they are fully vaccinated. Very reasonable prices compared to what I'm used to paying in the Northern Virginia area.

Midbay Veterinary Hospital
4690 E Hwy 20, NicevilleI called them as my dog was acting weird and wasn’t eating. She hadn’t eaten for a couple days and I got real concerned. We didn’t have an appt and we were new there. They told us to bring her in right away and found out she had a UTI and the gave her antibiotics. Those particular antibiotics were making her sick so I called and they were amazing. They gave her new meds and that worked great. I would highly recommend this place and these loving and caring people really show that it’s about the animal not the people that was comin. So… Wonderful people and I would definitely give them a 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pet Sitting & Training
Pet's Behave LLC
297 County Line Rd, NicevilleWe signed up for puppy kindergarten over the course of 8 weeks. We have a Doberman who was around 13 weeks at the time we had started and his ears are cropped as well as his tail is docked. The first session with the trainer, Adrian, she had mentioned how she was happy to see his ears were not cropped (they were not standing yet so still flopping over after healing from surgery). We just kind of laughed because we weren't sure from the awkwardness of that comment what to say as clearly she doesn't support ear cropping (which is fine that's her opinion however that comment made us very uncomfortable knowing our boy's ears were going to be eventually standing throughout the next 8 weeks). We also had our Doberman start in bitework sport training at another facility. Once Adrian knew that, it seemed everything our puppy did as a puppy rolled back into bitework. Every session it was hearing "You can't play with this puppy you'll eat it" or "You can't bite this it's not a decoy" or every time he would start playing rough with a puppy it would somehow turn to our bitework training and needing to help him find a way out. I respectfully had told her we were working with our bitework trainer on fixing these things. There was also a time she was watching my wife and dog practice leash walking for the first time with the other trainer, Mary (FANTASTIC), and proceeded to look at me and go "First dog?" as she was very clearly watching them struggle because a puppy on a leash is not a pretty site. That was when I told her we had 2 other dogs at home that were well behaved because of me and you could tell she was taken aback by the comment. When we were taking graduation photos, our boy was sitting still for a good amount of time to get his photo, she then said "I hope I got a photo" acting as if he was misbehaving but he was actually pretty calm while getting his photo taken. Moral of the story, I don't think Adrian is a bad person or trainer, I just think she shouldn't train dogs with owners who do crop ears or dock tails as she makes it clear her Rottweiler is all natural and she is proud of it. We always felt called out each session when her constant comments were made towards our dog in front of everyone and it seemed once she realized his ears were done the 2nd session and he was in bitework training that her view of us changed. Overall, we did learn a lot from the training and our dog has progressed so much. Just not sure I would like to attend a class ran by Adrian again.

Primo Dog
1023 Partin Dr N, NicevilleI cannot express how impressed I am with this facility. The staff is amazing, and they went above and beyond with my rescue "Bow" who was boarded for two days -- even taking the time to text me updates and photos! Bow has social anxiety and adjustment issues that are common with rescues, but when I picked her up, she was like a different dog. She was happy, playful and was obviously treated like a princess. Thanks to everyone at Primo!!!!

Strange Colt Brewery
1103-B, E John Sims Pkwy, NicevilleGreat local microbrewery with their own quality brews and a few guest taps. They also serve a variety of wines. The staff is friendly and personable and go out of their way to treat everyone like a regular and a local. They recently upgraded the menu, and the food is just too good to accurately describe - start at the top with the porkbelly deviled eggs - really! Then work your way down from there. The flatbreads are great as well.Support local businesses! Especially if they make great beer!
