We have ha$16 the unit since January 2022, they constanty raise the rent and I am over it for a 5x10 unit I am paying $168 which is a joke to me. We have used storage units in the past and never encountered this. Also they BLL you mid month so that you can potentially forget to pay it and it doesn't allow me to pay immediately when I get the bill on the 15th of the month. Very poor accounting on their part. We gave our notice to vacate and I advise you find a better place to use.

The unit is fine. However, be forewarned that this company will raise rent on your unit by 30%, notifying you (during the busy holiday season) with 3 days to give them a "notice to vacate." If you don't meet that deadline, you'll pay two more months' rent, even if your unit is cleaned out before the end of the first month.

Staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was squared away and my vehicle was safe. Very flexible and helpful.

Went in to look at the Midgard units last Monday and got a good overview of the facilities, policies and procedures by Emanuel. Great guy. Very helpful. Decided to rent and returned 2days later to sign in. This time I was helped by Chace. He was new but very helpful and resourceful. Put my own lock on the unit which purchased there and am now ready to move some stuff in. Looking forward to working w the staff at Midgard Storage in Newberry

Escalating fees not at pace with economy. Poor customer service. Inflexible and non-responsive management. The facility is aware it is difficult to relocate your items without incurring additional cost so they continue to increase rates at an unfair pace. I had an issue with a stolen credit card and was on autopay and the numbers were supposed to update automatically on all of my autopay accounts. When this did not occur, I was notified by this merchant and immediately updated my card numbers. They did not put them in the system and I was still charged a late fee. The manager has yet to return my calls and I was told they would not waive the late fee despite being an upstanding customer for years.

New Customers beware!!! If you are going to have a storage unit for more than 2 months a rate increase will happen. I rented a storage unit at $198 a month & in 2 months they hiked the price up $40. $40 is a 20% increase!!! They told me there could be up to 2 rent increases a year.

The customer service in Newberry is excellent, but the general customer service line could use some training to help customers better. Unfortunately, they mistakenly did a second lease agreement instead of upgrading as we requested, which prevented us from getting a full refund. On the bright side, we really like the storage facility; it's clean, well-maintained, and the staff are friendly.

I will preface this with it is a nice safe tidy location. HOWEVER, this place will not be helpful at all when it comes to advocating for the consumer. It is my fault for not paying attention/following up sooner with my intention to vacate/removing lock (though nothing was in storage unit nor had I been back to location after signing my formal contract to vacate my unit). They still proceeded to bill me more than 700$ through the months since the cancellation without notifying me that there was any issue with my formal vacating contract. According to the district manager essentially this was “too much work/they are too busy because of their volume” to do what would be conventionally right and notify the consumer of issues. I cannot recommend this place due to this and I would 100% take my business elsewhere to a place that cares about its consumers and not just about making top dollar. I would be weary also as district manager covers 8 locations according to another employee I spoke to so I would caution you to really think about the type of business you choose to store with. Will try to repost for awareness. Thank you and have a good day.
