Rude and unprofessional cashier!! She was rude to my 5 years old grandson and then crumbled up my receipt and through it away right in front of me when I asked for it ??

The cashier Margaret is very rude and nasty. I’m a regular at this store and every time she’s working, she is rude! This time was over the top. My 4 year old daughter was shopping with me, she asked me if she could have a a bag of chips, the 50 cent bags. Of course I gave my child a bag of chips to snack on while I shopped around. As we were checking out, Margaret informed me I was disrespectful for opening a bag of chips and asked me what kind of example am I setting for my child. I let her know that she is the disrespectful one and if I’m paying for the item, who cares if I feed my little one. Margaret continued to run her mouth as I’m checking out. IN FRONT OF MY 4 YEAR OLD AT THAT!! The manager standing near by told her she needed to stop. The manager apologized. The other cashiers I’ve known for years like Joe and Amanda and I’ve never had a problem with them. Never in my life have I’ve been belittled and disrespected by a cashier. I’m a nurse and I would never talk to my patients the way Margaret spoke to me. Come to find out she was also rude to my stepfather. He’s an 84 year old Marine Vet that served in Vietnam War. He gets in a lot of pain, he’s legs and feet swell up, and he has a hard time putting shoes on. I brought him home some grippy socks from work so he could get around in those. Well, he went to dollar general with just his grippy socks on. Margaret told him he could not come in the store with no shoes on. He explained to her that those socks are basically his shoes. He went on to get what he needed. Margaret threaten to call the cops on him. He told her go ahead he was going to get the things he needed. When it came time for my stepfather to check out, Margaret refused to serve him. He told Margaret to go ahead and call the cops. He’s going to sit outside with his belongings and wait for the cops get there to let him know that she would not take his money. Shortly after that, she let him pay for his items. I’ve spoke to a few other people and they have all had horrible experiences with this cashier Margaret!! How do you still allow someone who is so miserable, nasty, and rude to your customers still work there??!! She needs a new job that’s not customer care. I shop there at least once a week and I spend good money there. I refuse to go back to this location until Margaret is no longer working there.

Hours of operation are incorrect. This location removes customers and locks doors at 9:45 PM.

Can save a lot of money in this "marketplace" store.Good produce and cheaper than Publix.Paper products cheaper than Publix. Milk is "dirt cheap" and a nice aisle of $1.00 products.

Lots of grocery and normal dollar store stuff. Good place to shop before you go to regular grocery store. Their store brand diapers are good and inexpensive.

Was asked to leave my belongings at the front then saw my things unattended when I asked about it they said it's policy to ask and that they would have seen if it was tampered with while no one was in the vicinity afterwards. DO NOT let them separate you from your belongings

They close the bathroom at 9 to "clean" then close the store at 10pm by law a place that sells food needs a working bathroom report!!

Store is ok, but management is pathetic. Been there just three times since Hurricane Ivan did a number on DG nearest me on Atlantic Ave. which was very well run. Not this one, though. About 30% of people in line to checkout just gave up and left store. Three checkouts, one is cash only, one is always closed, and middle one is card only, self service, and difficult to understand prompts. So it takes each person, even if only 3 items, almost 5 min. to navigate and pay. Don't shop here unless it's your day off and you've got lots of time to kill standing in line.Please get new management at this store., and for gods sake fix or staff another third checkout, or at very least take debit card payments at the one checkout that is staffed.You're losing lots of $$$ and customers.

it seems like now every time I walk in there and I purchase something I'm arguing with the staff because the price on the shelf is not what's ringing up at the cash register instead of being helpful there they give me an attitude unprofessional and I'm really at the point where I may file a lawsuit against them for false advertisement I understand you have price hikes but when you have a price clearly marked on the shelf and it's ringing up at a higher price that's wrong fix it and your staff attitude is no help either
