The reviews are this bad for a reason. My wife’s car broke and I was going to be out of town so I got her a rental car locally. I had the reservation set up and all my wife had to do was go in and sign. When we returned the car I saw an extra $100 dollars for optional insurance I already declined when I made the reservation.I went in and asked about it. The owner of the location basically told me tough $hit she signed for it. I told them they were f’n scumbags for taking advantage of a woman who’s never rented a car before. The owner lost it. Flipped me off, cussed me out, threatened to fight me, and told me to get the f out of his store.I was upset because they take advantage of of people who don’t know any better. He was upset because I told them they were scumbags for doing so. Avoid this place at all costs.

I returned the car on Aug 8, 2022, and the employee said it smelled lolike marijuana and there were ashes on the window. I don't smoke anything at al, so this isn't even possible, but he charged me an $80 cleaning fee. I will NEVER go there agai.

The employees at this location are horrible, they are rude, not accommodating and completely misinformed about their polices. I spent an entire day going back and forth calling management at budget to get a straight answer. When I showed up the person at the front desk told me it doesn't matter if I make a reservation online that doesn't guarantee me a car and told me I couldn't change the times online he doesn't have to honor it. I'm shocked these people are employed for customer service

Efficient and professional service. Newer vehicle and it met all our needs. Bill and staff were extremely polite. Would highly recommend for vehicle rental.

Was unreasonably charged for pet hair. They said it was excessive. It was not. We are talking maybe a few hairs at best. I never had my dogs in the car and the hairs would've only gotten in there from getting in and out of the car. They charged me $266.25. Does that seem fair? I don't think so. The person on the phone said they normally charge $450 and "I doubt he charged you that", with an attitude. I guess that's what they consider good customer service these days. They find a few hairs and can charge you hundreds of dollars, when they are just going to have someone vacuum out the car anyway. Nice scam guys. Nice scam. By the way, the car was dirty when I received it. I've rented from the Mason Budget on numerous occasions and have never had this kind of experience. If you own pets, be careful. You might want to rent somewhere else.

I had a reservation for a vehicle for Friday the 26th @ 12. They call me @ 11:15 to inform me they don't have a Car for rental on The same day 45 mins prior to my reservations remind you I'm from Chicago just visiting I really needed a car very unprofessional NEVER AGAIN

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Drove 40 to this location because I was told they had cars available. You can't reach anyone in the actual store. Got to the site they had an SUV in the lot but the worker repeatedly reminded me that they were closing in 10 minutes so he couldn't help me. Don't waste your time or money here.

Not sure why Budget is paying this rude employee to literally do nothing all day but yell at customers. Refused to help us because we didn’t have masks. We didn’t refuse to wear one but he didn’t even give us one to wear in store. The car was literally shaking off the road we ALMOST died, but god forbid we walk in asking for help without masks. They knew about the giant piece hanging off the underside of car but still let people rent it.

This has to be the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The man behind the desk wants to enforce his own mask laws. If you support freedom don’t do business here.

I rented two 15 passenger vans for a youth group trip, and reserved them to be picked up at 1pm. When we got there, the employee said they only had one van for us because they thought we reserved two by mistake. Not only that, the one van they were giving us wasn't going to be there until 2:30, an hour and a half after my reservation. The employee was a bit rude, saying he had tried to call to confirm if we needed the two vans and that he got hung up on, and while I did have a missed call from him (and a voicemail, proving I did not pick up and hang up on him), it was 20 minutes before pick up time so I was probably already driving, and they should have called to confirm a lot earlier than the day of. I'll definitely be calling to confirm in the future. But not with this place, it's worth it to drive up to the Daytona airport where they've always had my vans ready for me when I needed them.The only good thing I can say is that they had a 12 passenger available and that ended up being enough for our group, but they didn't even give us much of a discount for all the trouble and change of vehicle.

Called to check if I was still picking up my rental. I asked them to move it to the original time I requested. Stated that he could not help me. The guy on the phone didn’t propose any alternative solutions or help me with another options in order to still pick up my rental today. The customer service was absolutely horrific over the phone I can only imagine how terrible it is in person.
