The produce department is amazing. While it may be a little more expensive, the quality of fruits and veggies makes it worth it. Their made- to-order sandwiches are awesome and atmosphere is clean and friendly.

I've only recently begun shopping at this particular Publix because its pharmacy is convenient, they stay open long after 5:00 PM and are open on weekends, their pharmacy techs are wonderfully compassionate and friendly, they have considerate and caring pharmacists, and, *most important* to me, it isn't a big chain pharmacy.
Publix pharmacy has the perfect blend of being a "big chain" store while maintaining "small town" values -- in fact, the management of these stores ENCOURAGES all of their employees to treat every customer as if we are a well-liked (if not loved) family member or friend. I've only been in about 3 times, and already they're recognizing me and remembering my name.
Since I'm already there to pick up my prescriptions, I usually grab at least a few grocery items; the store is beautiful. It's a larger sized store in a newly constructed "strip" mall. It's well laid out with wide isles, so 2 carts can pass without problem. It's nice and brightly lit. It's kept very clean and well stocked, and customers never have trouble finding an employee who is willing to help us find an item, reach something from the top shelf, or, if they don't have something in stock, they'll order it for you.
Publix might have a reputation for having higher prices than other stores, but that's simply not true. Yes, some - SOME - things might cost more there than at other stores, but other things cost LESS than at other stores; in addition to that, they have EXCELLENT sales with a huge variety of "buy-one- get-one" items, a ton of coupons (electronic in the app or paper coupons), and many items that are simply kept at a low price regularly. I've done MULTIPLE side-by-side comparisons between Publix and other stores (including the big blue 'box store'), and in most of my comparisons, the prices are VERY close. The comparison between them and big "blue" shows, of course, that "blue" has a savings (usually around $15 - $20 for a 2 week supply of groceries), BUT for that $20 savings I'm getting less than fresh fruit and veggies (my veggies - in some cases - from "blue" lasted only 3 days, while those from Publix lasted up to 8 days!), a dirty store with employees who couldn't care less whether I needed help while I was shopping, had to deal with overcrowded isles and massively long lines to check out with cashiers who were so overworked that they didn't even have time to look up at their customer, much less be cheerful. For me, I'll pay more and GET more!
Keep up the excellent work and amazing customer service, Publix!

I'm not sure what the plan is but I will be happy when they put cashier's back on duty for checkout.

Even though their prices are a little higher than the competition, it's offset by their chicken wings ♡♡♡

My cashier Christian shorted me $6.71 and then acted like he did not know. Please hire people that won't try to fleece a customer. Be care in this Publix at River Crossing in New Port Richey.
