The service in this store is really gone down hill. Last time I was there the lady testing my water acted like I was such an inconvenience. I had asked about setting up pool service and was told they are too busy I’ll need to go somewhere else. I brushed it off as her having a bad day. Today when I went in it was the same vibe. I was the only customer there and treated like I was interrupting them. I will drive a little further to go somewhere else. I will not spend another dime there.

This store is poorly ran. Customers do not come first. From mask harassment back during Covid, to today. I needed salt, show up, there 8 bags in salt box and lady says they are out. I drove there to buy salt,apparently somebody else can buy it without showing up. I sat in parking lot and searched on phone for another close by place to buy pool salt. While I did this, I noticed all customers that were in store when I was, had left, without the salt in question. Good news is Sam's had the salt for almost 50% less. I will unfortunately have to deal with this pinch a penny when I want more chlorine for cleaning, and acid for pool, but EVERYTHING ELSE will be online or other places, due to better prices and service.

The customer service is always 10 stars plus at the River Crossing store. The operation headed by Susan is honest and pure. Sure, a franchisor can dictate what to say and do, but it's the hands on caring that all the staff offer that is a sign of a franchisee who takes every extra step if needed to make a customer happy and content.

My husband and I have been coming to this pinch a penny since we purchased our home in 2016. We’d never owned a house with a pool so we were clueless.The manager and the employees here are so helpful and go above and beyond to help you with anything pool and spa related.I wouldn’t go anywhere else..

Such a shame. The owner of the store is generally nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. However, the minions are a different story. Rude, dismissive, unprofessional. The moment I had a vac that wasn’t working, and I needed to return it, that changed the entire nature of the relationship. If this was the only pool store around, I would contemplate filling it with dirt, and starting a garden

This is by far the best Pinch A Penny store I have ever dealt with in my 21 years of owning a pool. Everyone in the store from management to staff is extremely knowledgeable, competent and friendly. It is always a pleasure to visit the store for my water testing and pool equipment/maintenance needs.
