They have lived in Colorado farm country all of their lives, so they are truly Country Dogs. To find a place close to our current residence in Holiday was a real blessing and that they accept walk-in nail trim service at a very reasonable cost was an added blessing. Our visit there today for nail trims was quick and professional and the girls' nails look great.I would eagerly recommend this salon to friends.

Best Care Animal Hospital
6041 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port RicheyOur Italian Greyhounds had their dental cleanings today with extractions. We had just established with Best Care so we were pretty anxious about trusting them with our dogs and our wallet. We were very impressed with Dr. Channell. She called us after each dog had their x- rays to go over the plan and also called once each dog was recovered. One of our dogs ended up needing more work than expected, so we were a little concerned about the bill, but Dr. Channell stuck to the quote we were given. The price was fair in my opinion. They also provided us with a packet that contained before and after photos and a copy of their dental imaging! The only reason I gave them a 4/5 is because they left the IV in one of my dogs. I’m a nurse so I took it out at home, but it shouldn’t have been there. Overall we are very pleased and will definitely continue to use this office/vet.

They're clean, courteous, caring and prices are reasonable. Picking up meds and getting appts is a breeze and we never have to wait long to schedule appts or once we arrive. The vet actually got down on the floor at dog level to examine my dog!!
In my opinion, the advice and treatments we've received the last few years were spot-on and conservative.
Twice I have had to see another vet out of state while we were traveling. Country Oaks worked with them and provided my dogs info in a super timely manner.
Its been difficult to find a vet in FL and I feel like we finally got the right place. Thanks ? ?

4041 Little Rd, New Port RicheyDr. Brownell is quite simply an extraordinary person and veterinarian. She gave our beloved dog Ava the most beautiful and peaceful passing imaginable. I say this as a long time pet parent who has had been at several good euthanasias and some that were not. What Dr. Brownell does for humans is quite wonderful too, she’s a guide, a grief counselor, a friend, a support system and she handled Ava with such gentle care and respect, even after she had passed. I truly don’t have enough good things to say about her, nor do I have the ability to convey the depth of our gratitude properly in words. My husband and I feel so blessed that when we called Lap of Love, that they had an opening only a few hours later and Dr. Brownell was able to help our darling girl over the rainbow bridge.

6041 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port RicheyMy rescued dog had a medical emergency this past week at about 1:10 pm. I found my dog on his side at the bottom of the stairs. He was not moving. He was nearly lifeless. I was in tears crying and crying. I wrapped him in a towel and I rushed him to their office at 1:30 pm when they open after their lunch break. I told one of the receptionists while I was in tears that something happened to my dog. He asked me if my dog was a patient. I told him yes. I would have waited however long it took for them to take a look at my rescued dog. The vet tech came to take my dog to have his vitals checked within a matter of a few minutes. They were not busy at the time. I was crying and crying trying to speak. It turns out that his vitals were okay. The vet came out in the room to explain to me what was happening. She told me they think he had a seizure. It was his first. She asked if I would okay a blood test and IV to flush out his kidneys. (I did.) They brought him back to me and let me hold him and carry him. I held him and carried him. I also talked to him. Then they took him back for the blood test and IV. They told me to return at 5:30 pm to pick him up. I did. Then when I returned to pick him up they told me to drop him off at 7:30 am the next morning for another IV session. I did just that. I thought he was dying. It was a harrowing experience. He survived and is doing well now. I did not think they would take him in like they did but they did. Very happy with how they treated my rescued dog. By the way I don't think they dislike gay people. They are compassionate (and patient) to all. I highly recommend.

I tried the chili cheese hot dog and it was absolutely delicious—loaded with flavor and perfectly satisfying. To top it off, I had their strawberry lemonade with boba, which was so refreshing and fun to drink. The combination of sweet and tangy was spot on, and the boba added the perfect chewy touch. Dan was friendly and welcoming, and the shop has such a great vibe. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again!

As soon as we walked we were greeted and seated. Food was delicious and served hot. The amount was enormous that we both could not finish. The place was very clean and decorated for the holidays. The only fault was the parking. Lot is very small plus the drivers going in different directions trying to get out. Will definitely go back with hubby.
