Great experience at the Port Richey location.
They are new to the location, it is inside the Ford commercial vehicle building. The Manager told me the bigger signs are on order. I had my reservation well in advance and when I arrived, I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. Returning was just as easy. I do recommend and will go there again if need be.

The car had damages inside and they charged $10 a gallon for gas when I forgot to fill up half the tank. The car wasn’t even full when I got it. You might as well bite the bullet and go with another company that’s reputable because you’ll still be charged just as much with this location. Even if you use your AAA discount

Had to get a rental from here through my Cadillac dealer the rental smelled like smoke they never walked around the car with me to check for damage only gave me keys and said they would send me photos of their walk around. They never sent me photos. My warranty covered my rental and they still charged my card on file for an extra day as well. Still fighting to get my money back from them even though they have been paid twice. Terrible experience.

I work for an insurance company and had to book a specialized rental for a customer. Johnathan walked me through the process, set reasonable expectations, and then exceeded them by getting all the pieces together and providing excellent service to the customer ahead of schedule.
I used to use another provider for rentals, but since I have been working with Hertz on a professional level, I use y'all exclusively (I don't go anywhere, so I don't generate enough revenue for that to affect the bottom line.)
Johnathan is a great asset to the company. He is professional and friendly, and above all, competent!
If I ever need a car in New Port Richey, I'm calling Johnathan, elsewhere, I am calling Hertz.

been renting cars for almost 50 years today was the first time I'd ever been to a car rental place where they forced an upgrade on me and it wasn't free due to them not being able to honor my reservation. Andrew was the person I dealt with.

When I went to pick up the rental car, it was not available, and they wanted to give me another one at a higher price, I just didn't accept it and I got another one at another agency the same day, so I'm sorry, very bad service.

First off found a used vehicle on line, contacted the store and was contacted back by text. The salesman seemed to be interested in taking care of my needs until I asked for number through text. He said you have to come in! I explained I was almost 2 hours away and my time is as valuable as theirs is and would like more info over phone. I sent my vin# and pictures of my trade, after a few days they said please come in to complete the deal. So after the drive down and taking time to test drive then to let them look over my vehicle I was told take a moment he will be ready in 5 minutes. After 3X of 5 minutes I was approached and told he is ready. I was lead to an open room full of normal tables and customers sitting discussing transactions. Was asked several times questions about my trade then was told let me check on the manager. After 3X more of just 5 minutes I waited over 30 and still no response. I proceeded to leave, only then did I draw attention and as I reached my vehicle to leave the salesman came towards me to delay me once more stating he is almost finished you know how long it takes to print prices! I told him I am tired of waiting I’m not one of the other sheep inside waiting to be lead around like a puppet. Contact me with bottom line number of the deal. So I waisted half a day aggravated my schedule and my customers to get no where with this place! It’s a joke! Even after the message I received stating we would love to make a deal before the end of the month we are ready to make another satisfied customer! Well I should suggest you learn that not all of us have all day to waste being left to sit while you see how long you can make them sit there in hopes that the customer will just give in and take whatever price you give them after stating how you are so ready! I’d hate to see how you treat walk in customers! And I might suggest get more employees! Learn how to respect customers time and the fact that we travel to you! There are hundreds of new and used car dealers and your just one of them no matter how many locations you have and how many names you work under there is always someone else willing to earn honesty the business of a valuable customer without taking up falsely leading them in! So after wasting my time I drove just 30 minutes and was able to make an awesome deal at a totally different dealership and look at the beautiful brand new truck they sold me! Again did not purchase it through any Sun Dealership!

This location inside of Sun Toyota was very busy for a Friday at noon. They were having computer issues and it took an hour and a half to complete my check-in. The only person working seemed overwhelmed but still friendly. I was even more surprised when she said she had to go outside and clean out the car I was about to rent. Obviously that means they don't even wipe or wash them between customers. Kind of gross being immunocomprimised. I cleaned it myself but found the whole experience stressful. Good idea to check your receipt to I was overcharged by $100. so she fixed it before I left. I wouldn't use this location again they don't have a drop box for after hour returns either. I'll go back to using Enterprise for my rental needs both here and in CT. I tried to save money and it wasn't worth it. Hopefully there won't be any surprises this weekend.
