Been hit or miss here as far as employees. Brought in a knife today to sharpen as I do every few months and I pick up a host of other things while I’m there.
The employee seemed irritated because he was having a conversation with other employees when I asked to get it sharpened. I was not offered the knife back and was told I can collect it at the counter. No opportunity to check out what had just been completed. Maybe afraid of theft I suppose.
Lowe’s has opened in Odessa/Trinity. I’ll get my knife sharpened somewhere else. I won’t be back.

It’s unfortunate when you rush and show up 10 minutes before closing time, and they have everything locked and the guy outside tells you they close in 10 minutes, but everything is locked up and to come back tomorrow. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Location is the only reason I was here. Didn't want to drive all the way to Lowes. Prices are higher across the board. Ended up having to return a few items the same day I bought them. Their system was done, so I couldn't. Came back 4 days later and was told the same thing. Had to get a bit forceful and ask for a manager to be able to get a refund. Next time, I'll eat the extra 10 minute drive and head to Lowes.

Do not recommend going to this place. Came here an hour away from where I live to buy a chainsaw that they “had in stock “had the guy help me and took the saw I chose behind the counter because you can’t walk around the store with it. I had to pay for the Saw and then was handed to it as I was walking out Silly me didn’t check and didn’t realize until I got all the way home that they had handed me the wrong saw. Called the store and they claim that they would fix it. I just had to drive an hour all the way back to the store to magically find that all of a sudden the saw I wanted, they “didn’t have” and was told since the manager wasn’t there I would have to drive back yet again the next day to return the saw. Nothing was sorted or fixed and was told there was literally nothing they could do for me while I was there now that I’ve taken four hours out of my day to deal with this so if you care for your time or the $800 you spend on a chainsaw I would not recommend buying anything from this place

Worse ACE I have been too in my life. Owner tried to upsell on a furniture piece after nicely declining calling the fire pit I picked out cheap.
Spent 300 dollars … sorry we don’t all have money. As getting to the register I paid in cash as they put my cash those some machine that isn’t working- the lady processed to ask me for another payment - as I didn’t have. As she aggressively trying to get it to work I asked about a manager or money marker and I get eyes rolled at me.
As leaving I noticed what I came for based on the website was a different price than what I was seeing on my receipt . I decided to go back in and question this- They told me the prices are different so I asked for a refund to order online. Was then told they will only do the refund when I place a new order. New order is placed by accident I ordered the wrong chairs COLOR manager processed to tell me I now need to switch out the chairs in my car because that’s not what I ordered. I go how do I changed the color - not sure. As a manager and OWNER of a large and a singular location as there is so many you would switch them out. In this was questioned about 100 dollars different. No refund for that to then have to wait an additional 35 mins after placing 3 more orders since it wasn’t showing up on his end.
Soooo to a paying guest about price they are paying on a product, questions that I’m mad over 100 dollars…. Yet man couldn’t switch out chairs over color or met the 25 dollar difference in store ….
Processed to continue in an overall refund due to the price could not be compromised in person. He proceeded to go back into the office to get the exact bill that happened to be ripped that he received Instead of giving bills inside of his current register….. ridiculous and petty. Asked about it and turned aggressive. NEVER will be back.

Went to buy a chainsaw and the costumer service was not so good. Lack of knowledge of the products and was giving out wrong information. which is okay but the employee was extremely rude on top of that. Felt ridiculed for coming in to buy a chainsaw. I felt terrible for supporting a company with rude employee when other places were extremely helpful just didn’t have the model I was looking for. Won’t return to this location and will tell everyone I know to go somewhere else.

I am writing this review to alert our community to the type of business being run at D’s Ace Hardware #4 at 4132 Little Rd, New Port Richey, FL. 34655. I purchased a roll of flex seal tape that just happened to be a few days before hurricane Milton hit Florida. When I went to return it, because I used a different product, I was told by the manager that he would not return it because it was considered a hurricane related purchase even though it was clearly not on their list of hurricane related items posted on the counter at the cashier. I understand the reasoning behind businesses not allowing certain returns during certain times, but this was not the case for this particular return. It was also not used at all, taken out of the original factory packaging, and I had the original receipt. I have two issues with this. First, there was absolutely no reason for the store not to issue the refund. Second, a lot of people out there are spending money they really don’t have right now to purchase items that they may or may not need in preparation for the storm and, if they are not utilized, they should be able to return them so they can use that money for other necessities. In my opinion, this is not the way a neighborhood hardware store should treat the customers and community they serve. I let the manager know that I would not be patronizing his store anymore and these are some of the main reasons why consumers prefer shopping at Lowe’s and Home Depot, because of their excellent return policies and the fact that their customer’s satisfaction comes before anything else. I will also be letting all of our families, friends and neighbors in the Trinity/New Port Richey area know about this bad experience as well, so they don’t have to go through the same issue. I will try to find somewhere to donate the tape as I don’t want it to go to waste and someone else may have a use for it, especially now.
Update to this review: I was responded to by the owner and asked to call the number he left so that he could try and resolve this issue. I called the number and asked for him and was put on hold for 15 minutes before I finally hung up. If this is the type of “resolution “ he was referring to, I definitely believe nothing would have been done.

I don't want to be hard on a small business these days, struggling against the big box stores which I admittedly use , myself. However, I did stop in this store to grab a few extention cords pre hurricane. I never used one of them, so had wife stop by to return it and she was told, "No returns for pre hurricane sales" ? while I would agree with the premise for those toilet paper /water hording people or returning expensive generators, (Why return what you should keep?) it's an extension cord. Wonder why those big box stores will keep getting my business ?
