I've lived in New Port Richey for 25 years. This Dollar General Market offers a little of everything. It is better than a regular Dollar General. Dollar General Markets are very rare. They are a great addition to the New Port Richey community and helps working class people in terms of grocery store deserts. They offer fruits, vegetables, meats, chicken, pork, milk, eggs, cereals, some Latin foods, spices, sugars, etc. The selection is good. I find some things here that I can't find elsewhere. The store is clean and well-organized. They have a public restroom in the back of the store on the far left that is not locked which is convenient for older people like me and women with young children. When I went in today the line was long but another cashier quickly opened another line. The cashiers are nice and fast. I recommend this store.

I like this store for what it is. It is convenient and has a variety of items. They have produce in the front of the store area which helps those of us who live on a fixed income. The cashiers are nice. I like shopping here.

I used to LOVE The Dollar General Market located on 6525 N Socrum Loop Rd, in Lakeland, FL 33809 allows customers to bring their NONE SERVICE DOGS (PETS) into the store and to use the carts. Yes, THE SAME CARTS people use to put their groceries in. I am highly disgusted by this and I would not be returning to shop here. The employees pet the dogs and hold full conversations with the customers that bring their dogs in the store. SERVICE DOG, I fully understand the need and reasons for its existence in any business, but I draw the line at PETS. People have gone crazy in Florida with bringing their pets in stores and utilizing the same carts people use for food. I was in California and saw a few attempts and customers were stopped at the door and turned away. I am sorry, but either way stores are subject to loose customers. However, the chances are stronger for the loss of customers with allowing PETS in stores and utilization of community equipment especially equipment that food is used for. Why? Well I am going to start reporting these accounts to the health department and I have pictures too. I've seen pitbulls, labs, mutts, etc ALL in stores.

They don't sell skim milk. At allAlso, way more expensive than even a Walmart. Wet and dry cat food is way cheaper at Walmart. Same with dog food. People think they're getting a deal because it has "dollar" in the name, when they absolutely or not. This place is higher priced than even target on some things!

The staff was very friendly but they are pricey for a discount store. The Bananas were 40 cents a banana ? not by the pound

Cashier Debbie was talking down about people who use food stamps. The next customer had a food stamp card. How do you think that made her feel Debbie?

Great place to shop. Only complaint is that I wish some items were kept in stock more on the shelves.

Friendly staff. Clean store. Open and not cluttered. Cheap prices. Lots of food options. Basically a dollar general with a small grocery store added.

Normally I don't have a problem with this store. But my daughter's dad just walked down there to buy milk and reached their door at 9:52 PM, just to find it locked. A worker inside saw him and gave him the \\\"throat slicing\\\" gesture to signify that they were closed. Closed? What do you mean closed? Your store closes at 10:00 PM so the doors should not be locked and no one should be turning customers away!

Was driving by because I never seen a DG market before. The store is big clean and organized. It’s a DG with fresh grocery items also. Items are the same as regular DG, grocery items are priced as regular grocery store. Nice place, carts are in bad shape though.
