I have now been out with these guys on 4 different trips. That says it all right there! I have done 3 in the keys and 1 out of the Tampa area. They do both inshore/back country and offshore. I have done both and they did not disappoint.Both Captain Chris and Captain Donny are amazing and make for an unforgettable day every time I step on one of their boats. They both feel like your friends by the end of the day and truly want you to fill the cooler. They know their stuff and will put you on fish!No question of who I will use or refer friends and family to when it comes to fishing in Florida.

Terrible experience with safety concerns and bad judgement calls by the Captain. Myself my brothers my dad and our kids booked an 8 hour snapper and grouper trip out of the New Port Richey location. Everything seemed ok at first the fishing wasn’t phenomenal but I understand it’s fishing and there is only so much the Capt. and crew can do. The kids were having a good time so that’s what matters. Well on our way back in WE RAN OUT OF FUEL 20 MILES FROM SHORE!!!!! He said because we had to run around a storm are you kidding me you don’t have more than 10-20 miles of reserves on board and we probably only went 40-50 miles offshore. What about the rule of thirds. 1/3 for the ride out 1/3 for the ride in and 1/3 of reserve. Thankfully storms did not blow in on us but that was only luck because storms were absolutely in the area. Tow Boats US gave us a tow and some fuel. It added 4 hours to our trip that we were baking in the sun and not fishing. We were not offered any type of discount or reimbursement for a ruined day on the water. He said he also runs charters out of Islamorada. Personally I would not get on a boat with this company!!!!

Best fishing experience ever! Capt Donnie, and Capt Chris are amazing! We have been out multiple times with them fishing. I refuse to go with anyone else with how awesome fishing is with them!!! You want to have a great time and catch fish contact them right away!!!

Nick was a fantastic captain. He had a great sense of humor and has a local flare. He was great at keeping the lines baited and you never had to touch a bait or touch the fish he was really good at his job. Fishing was a little slow today but I'm sure my son says they don't call it catching for a reason.

Captain Chris responded to my my email request almost immediately and I booked an inshore trip for three. Captain Nick was our skipper for the trip and was very patient and pleasant. The fishing wasn’t very good that day but we still had a great experience. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Wow!! Booked Captain Chris for a full day deep sea fishing trip when my daughter and adult grandson came to Florida to visit. Was hoping for a great day of fishing. Weather did not cooperate - COLD and windy but Chris did not disappoint! We caught fish one after another even though we cut our time to half day due to weather. Came home with lots of fish and great fish stories of how none of us got sea sick. Great day! Sure we will book again!!

I booked a shark fishing charter through Coastal Outfitters for my cousin Dan who is a three-time Iraq veteran , for his surprise 40th birthday. Let me just tell you, that Dan is my hero and I'm sure he is or at least should be to all Americans. This was the one thing that I really wanted to do for him as he deserved it more than anybody I know!This was an 8-hour trip that was very uneventful and downright disappointing. We came back empty-handed, though we said more than once that we would be happy just catching anything after about five hours of nothing. We were never given the opportunity to do that though. My boyfriend and I never once got to hold a pole in our hands and Dan was able to have a pole once or twice for a few minutes. The rest of the time was nothing but a very expensive boat ride. This was the first time that Dan was ever on the ocean for a Leisure fishing day. All the years of being spent on the ocean during battle and terrible weather just trying to keep our country safe seemed like he should have been awarded something!I spoke with a few other captains in the area who told me that we should have been notified that this is not the right time to go shark fishing and that they are out in the colder waters. I was told they are way out past 9 miles , yet the the boat we took was not legal for licensing to go beyond 9 miles. They had a boat sitting at the Docks owned by the same company, that was legal to go out past the nine miles yet we did not take that boat out. Why??Also, having known they were taking a female out on the boat, you would think they would at least have a bucket for a female to go to the bathroom in. I ended up having to pee in the tiny hole of a monster can!Captain Nick was very nice and I do not blame him at all! However, the person in charge of booking this type of a trip, knowing that the shark fishing is best past 9 miles, should be ashamed of themselves. I hope a lesson has been learned and that we can help anybody else who might experience this type of thing and that their new year will turn over a new attitude towards their customers!

Chris took our family out fishing for sheepshead in Tampa, and that's most of what was reeled in (along with some snapper, grouper, and grunt – no complaints about those yummy fish)! The service and knowledge of Coastal Outfitters Sport Fishing is unparalleled. Visiting Tampa and planning to fish? I wouldn't hesitate to book another charter with these guys!

What a disappointment! We came down to visit family and send my husband on a surprise fishing charter for his birthday. We booked to go shark fishing or what ever else we could catch. Needless to say nothing was caught in an 8hr trip. Later learning it’s not really good shark fishing right now.. instead of telling us that, they booked it, took our money and took us on a really expensive boat ride!The captain was nice enough but after hours of not finding sharks and us expressing we were willing to fish anything, he just kept searching for the impossible. We were booking this trip regardless of what the catch would be..why not be honest and tell us shark really aren’t around within the 9 miles off shore the boat was licensed for. No bucket to pee in for the ladies either.. who does that!!!???Luckily for us we found another charter that took my husband out two days later for a shorter trip and he caught some fish before we left FL.My advise is to go elsewhere. Apparently this sort of thing isn’t the first time for them. :(

I am making this review as an avid angler and retired Navy Veteran. Captin Chris has the ultimate local knowledge, seamanship and best equipment( all high end Shimano) on the market. Scheduling was easy and we limited out on grouper early in the day. I travel and fish a lot of charters and his was one of the best I have been on. If you want safe, fun day with great memories and laughs you should choose this charter.
