The manager, JP Smith, was so knowledgeable and helpful from helping us select the perfect carpet for our home, to pricing, to delivery and installation. The entire process was seamless. BUYER BEWARE!
I’m giving this review 2 stars because the vinyl plank floors I bought are truly quality and beautiful. As for everything else, if I could give negative stars, I would. It’s taken me a long time to leave this review because I don’t like leaving negative reviews but this needs to be said.
I got my floors in 2022. I wish I’d read the reviews of others before coming here. I went with them after looking at the big box stores solely because they have their own install guys. I thought this would be better as I’d heard stories of different quality installs based on who you got. Well. Of the two guys that came out, only one was good. Chris was very professional. He was a quality worker who paid attention to what he was doing and didn’t engage with the Jekyll and Hyde guy he was stuck working with. That guy, who will remain nameless, was HORRIBLE. He did nothing but complain, complain, complain. Honestly, he made me feel bad about my house and about things I had inherited as well as having made very clear about when they arrived. The previous owner had put tile in the entry and hall that had to come up. He jackhammered it up without putting up plastic sheeting. He cussed and swore the whole time. He complained about the company, his back, and “too much furniture” he had to move, despite knowing my kids had recently moved in with me while building their house. He blared loud music, of his choice, through his phone the entire time and sang along with it. He was insulting, loud and obnoxious. I should have thrown him out, but it was my first time doing any home improvement on my own since my husband passed and I wasn’t sure how he’d react. The next day he apologized and was the nicest guy. But then something would set him off and off he’d go again. It was a stressful week. Chris, on the other hand, just kept right on working. Quite, efficient, polite, respectful, helpful. Great guy.
Second issue I have with Bob’s Carpet and Floor is their lack of a return policy. I later remodeled my kitchen-totally different experience, look up my review-and had to order more flooring. Before it even came in, I ended up with 7 extra boxes that I didn’t need. I went to pick it up, and was given the wrong flooring by the manager. When I returned it the next morning, I was told they’d have to get the correct flooring from the warehouse. I asked if I could just get a refund. No. Their reasoning? It cost money to transport it from the warehouse and send it back. What? I don’t even have the flooring?! I’ve not even taken possession of it! I asked, over the course of the next few weeks, while still not picking up the flooring, and still they said no. I asked them to take it up the ladder to corporate. They did. Still no.
As of today, there are supposedly 7 boxes of flooring costing over $700 sitting waiting for me to pick up. Eventually I will but for now, I’m still too upset at them to want to set foot in that store. But when I do, I’m going to laugh if they’re at the warehouse and they have to pay money to get them sent to the store for me. That alone will be worth going in.
It doesn’t matter how good their product is. Customer service is what matters and theirs is rotten. Their return policy is nothing more than robbery. I don’t recommend them at. all.

We received outstanding service, flooring and installation from JP and his team at Bob’s Carpet Mart. We have used Bob’s Carpet Mart several times in the past and have never been disappointed. JP went above and beyond to guarantee our satisfaction. We highly recommend JP and his team at Bob’s Carpet Mart in New Port Richey.

I have had so many compliments about our floors. The planking is easy to clean and maintain . Recently I had an issue and it was taken care of very professional job. They stand behind their workmanship and product.

The gentleman J.D I spoke to was amazing. Very professional, polite and knew every product and had exactly what I needed. The price was excellent. It’s hard to find a place who cares anymore. I highly recommend them.

The installers just finished installing our carpet. JP at Bob’ Carpet was very helpful in pointing me in the direction when I told him what I wanted. Installed it’s just as I had hoped for. The installers, they were fabulous. Clean, respectful, timely and even helped my husband with placing some of the heavy items back in place. I highly recommend this store and the installers!

Great from start to finish! From the moment we walked into the store, we were greeted and treated like family. Once we picked our carpet, the measuring and installation was quick and beautifully done. We couldn’t ask for better! Thank you JP and everyone at Bob’s for making this so easy!
