We ordered a raw water pump from key west engine. The pump was defective leaking large amounts of oil through the hole where the lip seal should be preventing such. We promptly let Celeste at key west engine know so we could get a new one ordered. We were not angry or accusatory with her. But her immediate reaction was to start demeaning us and defending herself. The pump has a known issue of having the lip seal either placed backwards or missing. The company's pumps come from two different sources. We simply asked if the second one did the same thing if we could order the jabsco one instead. She was angry and repeatedly lying/making false statements. We kinda laughed at first because we thought she was joking in some of the bizarre random unillicited comments she was making. Such as " do you even know what that is" " you must immediately write down your engine hours on a blank sheet of paper " " Mexico is the reason I can't control that" Out of no where she went on a derogatory rant about Mexicans. Not that it matters but My wife and I are not Spanish. We did not think this was her fault. We did not think she ordered the wrong part. We simply needed to exchange for a working pump. We already had to rent a vehicle to repeatedly drive to stock island to get this part. Yet she angrily tried to increase difficulty on a client with a broken engine by demanding we hand write on blank paper information we already gave her the day prior( engine hours and serial number of our engine) She said she didn't care and wouldn't give us our part. She thought she was forcing us to leave again to get the unneeded information ---engine hrs. We were always respectful and reasonable. She lacked any aspect of professionalism. I have almost 80 employees and tens of thousands of customers. No one would ever treat someone in this manner. Through many years of many different Diesel engines ( Detroit, Volvo, yanmar, nl etc) we have never had an interaction this unprofessional. We have dealt with some caddy women and arrogant men with my wife (who could run circles around them on our engines) but never anything like this. Avoid this place at all costs

What a great company! We pulled into Stock Island Marina with a blown out raw water pump on our John Deere auxiliary engine. I gave them a call and the service manager John had a tech down to us early the next morning. Celeste had the part in stock so the tech, Bob, returned the following morning to install it in plenty of time for us to make our planned departure. They were all very courteous, friendly and efficient. Many thanks to John, Celeste and Bob for taking such great care of us!Captain Geoff GardnerM.Y. Great AdventureNordhavn 68
