Suntrust was my very first bank I have ever had a checking and savings with since I was a teenager. I am 36 now. I haven't had poor experiences since they turned into Truist.I called and asked about Savings Account rates since all banks have been increasing rates as of late. The Hispanic guy on the phone was super dismissive didn't route my phone call to the people I asked for. I was told 6 months ago to call and they could check the rates for me. He persisted to tell me that other banks have 4 and 5% . I am sitting under 2% . Highly debating moving my money. Way to dismiss your clients that have been with you for 2 decades.

Awful customer service at Vanderbilt branch by the Hispanic guy sitting in the office by the entrance. He changed me $30 without telling me and having my consent, to send my debit card that they lost in the mail and by his words was delivered and activated when I originally called him. He didn’t clear his own mess giving me a solution and leaving me hanging waiting for an answer that never got. I had to call a nice lady in Asia to refund me. I am moving my business to another bank

On 2 September 2022, at 0900hours, just as the bank opened, I entered to ask a question about a check I wrote.1. I do all my checking on line, though your app, I a problem to a check to delivered on the date requested. Called customer service to no help. I went the branch bank on 5475 Airport Pulling Road, Naples, Florida 34109, 9 am opening time, I arrived about 5 to 6 early. Then I was told, by the branch manager, that I could not park in front of the bank until after after opening time. I told I had business in the bank but to no avail.2. I left there because I know, after the the above, I would get any help.So I went to 5475 Vanderbilt Road, Naples, Florida 34109. I talked to the branch manager, relayed my problem. She wrote down my Info and while i explain my situation. She stated that the check was lost, without even turning on her computer to check anything. I left with no info. I got home and called customer service and he was must helpful. He told me what had occurred and when the check would arrive. The check arrived on the 2 September late mail.This is the worst customer service I have ever had from your branch managers.

Excellent customer services, they are all doing their best every time. I'm not sure why would other give 1 star because I had been their customer for easily over 10 years, excellent customer services, friendly and willing to help. I know being a customer service is impossible to make everyone happy but I can assured you, they are giving and doing their best and that's plenty for me. Thank you all :)

My low rating is not for suntrust in general but for a specific banker Elda who tried to switch my regular checking account to a premium checking account without disclosing the fees and minimum balances. She did not explain or offer me any options when I said I wanted to close my joint account and open one in my name only. I was also suprised she didnt ask for the joint owners information because they were not present with me at the time. She just started typing on her computer to sign me up for a new account and when I asked about minimums she gave me a vague tangential answer about linking a credit card down the road which I never expressed interest in opening. She showed me the receipt of the paper checks she ordered and the sheet with direct deposit info but did not go through the rest of the paperwork. Instead, she handed me the rest of the paperwork already folded and stuffed in the envelope. She asked if I had any other questions, but frankly I was running late and just assumed she opened up the same type of account just in my name this time. When I went home and reviewed all the papers, I realized she signed me up for a premium account with a much higher minimum, monthly maintenance fees, and an annual fee - totally unnecessary for my needs. I had to go back to a different branch and work with an actual professional who told me what Elda had done, that she should have opened a regular checking account as I already had that was more appropriate for my position, and corrected the issue promptly.

This is the worst run banking location I have ever experienced. Employees are incredibly rude, argumentative, and not helpful...and I’m not totally sure they can count as my cash deposits rarely equal the amounts that I calculate. Shut this location down and fire these people.... all of them.Suntrust, as a whole, was incredibly unhelpful when my accounts were hacked a few years ago and employees at this location again... clueless and not helpful.

Very POOR customer service. Called and spoke to Nina to ask why all the sudden I'm getting maintenance fees on a free checking because I never had them before and she went on to describe that if the account is less than 500 they do that YET, the account has always had less than 500 and the fee was NEVER there before! Since I relocated I wasn't able to deposit monies quick enough but held enough in there to keep the account OPEN. When I went to deposit money today the account said ZERO balance because they charged a fee to completely wipe the account out so they could close it. Pending closed. People relocate. I even called to let them know I was in the process of moving and everything was hunky dory. Now I would like my account not pending, but permanently closed SUNTRUST. Your tellers are rude through the window when we do deposits and over the phone. NINA hung up on me because she couldn't explain the fee when I asked her why all of a sudden it was appearing and not in previous months. DO not bank with them. I rarely leave reviews but this seriously deserves a ZERO!!!
