After flying in from Michigan Nate and I wanted a quick bite to eat, so we finally got to try the legendary Pub subs! I've heard about Publix's subs for ages but never had one before. Let me tell you, the experience was honestly kind of stressful, but I think it was worth it. The deli has tons of options, and lots of different subs that all sounded so good. It was tough to pick, but I decided on the cordon bleu sub and Nate got the Havana bold. The options are kind of overwhelming, so I'd recommend ordering online ahead of time. We each got a half sub, as the full subs were huge! You can pick from several different bread options. This is where things started to get kind of weird. The employee making my sandwich seemed to want to add ingredients that weren't listed and kept asking me if I wanted them - specifically chipotle mayo. That was fine, as I love chipotle mayo, but I just figured they would make it as listed (Tavern ham, rotisserie chicken, bacon, Swiss, Dijon, and mayo) and then I'd add toppings. Whatever, not a big deal. Then they had to slice some more of the meat for Nate's sub so we ended up waiting a bit longer. The employees definitely were not the most friendly, but they were super busy as the line continued to form. Well, sort of. There is no real queue so people were just kind of swarming all around us which was pretty chaotic. Finally our subs were toasted, we added some toppings, and we were almost on our way. We got a combo so we went over to the drink station... which was a massive disaster with trash everywhere and pop dripping off the counters. Yeah, not the best, plus the lids didn't fit well onto the cups. Just a lot going on. However we finally made it to the self checkout and enjoyed our subs at home. The Havana bold was definitely better as it had a ton of ham but both were tasty. Would I go back? Even though it was almost comically chaotic, yes. I'd definitely order online next time, but then again I have no idea where you'd go to pick that up lol.

Rude employees, no one smiles, and they treat customers like they are beneath them. Everything took too long from deli to check out. No sense of urgency. My experience has not been pleasant at this location

If it is Publix policy for staff to wear masks during the pandemic, then they should enforce it. Customers rely upon information about compliance with CDC guidelines when shopping. Many staff had masks hanging below their chins and masks that fell below their noses. Technically they had a mask on, however if a mask does not cover both the nose and the mouth it’s useless. The managers do not seem to understand this. Much of the population that shops at this location is elderly and in the high risk category for coronavirus. I will search for another store for my shopping. Science matters. Courtesy matters.

Publix is doing their part to keep us supplied with food during this stressful time. Thank you!

Worst Publix in Naples! I am disabled and I CONSTANTLY have issues with staff ignoring me , blaming me for their malfunctioning motor carts and no stock. Avoid this location AT ALL COST, they are by far the saddest excuse for a Publix I've ever seen. Very disappointing

This store has some serious problems. It is understaffed, especially in the deli. It is not unusual to wait 15-20 minutes to be served. Need more than two people slicing deli meats. Another problem is expired products on the shelves. On multiple occasions I have picked up items well pst their sell by date. Pointing it out to store employees is met with indifference. Recently I picked up a bottle of salad dressing in the produce section and it was expired. Showed it to an employee in the produce section who then proceeded to put it back on the shelf! I have spoken with the manager but things don't seem to change. The front end management seems more interested in keeping the snowbirds happy. They routinely ignore people in the 10 items or less lanes with a full cart. Cashiers have said they are not allowed to say anything. This is very unfortunate for customers who only have a few items. Another example of poor management is that on multiple occasions I have seen people put dogs in the shopping carts. Only service dogs are allowed, but management overlooks this, especially in season.

The deli worker earnst was outright hostile and literally threw the ingredients on the bread and demanded from me what else I wanted. The food is good, service potentially awful. There seems to be a lack management oversight.

They usually have pretty friendly staff but the last two times I went the deli workers were incedibly rude. Its really uncomfortable when you're trying to order and the person is acting upset that they have to help you, accompanied with eye roles & complaining under their breath to their coworker while you're standing right there. The first time I thought, well maybe its just a bad day and let it go. Tonight is the second time they've been really unprofessional and inappropriate and it's successfully made us never want to return. Being rude is NEVER necessary, especially over a sandwich. If you are that tired of helping people, find a new job. Don't make the entire interaction uncomfortable and then proceed to stare and continue complaining as we walk away.
