I decided to try this gym out . I’m from out of town and I needed to workout. Oh boy, if you are going to the free weights section to lift . It is sooo dirty. Like seriously gross. I was like am I going to leave her with some type of infection. Equipment out dated and smells mildewy . But if you need a workout it will do ??♀️

Love this for a get away work out. Timing is inportant if you like to have choices,, so check busy times. Pool is great for swining.

Makes it next to impossible to cancel memberships - Gyms are already predatory enough to have it in their contracts that you have to come in person to cancel a subscription (we live in the 21st century, the ability to cancel a sub should be common place for any reoccurring charge, especially with the tanking economy). Gyms live off of the thievery of their customers via poor management and bad policy. This place takes it to another level. Needing to talk to a specific staff member to cancel a personal training membership, and that person never being available, being recommended you come back at another time, when that person again will not be available. Been waiting here OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF to talk to this so called professional so we can cancel. These are the necessary steps we have to take to make sure this place doesn't steal more of our money.
To all gyms: Fix your systems and stop preying on vulnerable people.
To this gym specifically: Fix your morals.

We visit this gym because it is within walking distance. When I signed up they told me about discounts and promos and yet I was charged 3 times before the first month was even over. Really did feel like I was scammed. The gym itself is dirty and smells musky. The equipment is outdated, stinks, and is falling apart. For the cost of the membership and the location this gym is rundown and needs a serious makeover and upkeeping.

Big, well laid out gym. Tons of equipment. Clean and looks new. Great place for a workout. Close enough to the beach to drive there for a walk after a workout.

It is definitely the best gym in town. I go every morning, and being always greeted with a good morning and a smile from Sheila from the front desk is always pleasant.

That gym is very close to my house. Before 5 o'clock a very polite and smiling and smart girl named Sheyla arrives so early and she is very profesional , the gym smells old because of the carpets , but the managers Daniella , Peter , Stephan , Lowensky work very well. The only bad thing is the men's bathrooms that are not cleaned in the morning. Dirty floors without chlorine always smell bad.

Do not sign up with personal training at this business! Be sure to read through the Personal training contract thoroughly...better yet, take it to a lawyer and read reviews before signing.
I can't speak to the gym membership as our insurance, United Healthcare Advantage Plan covers the gym membership. That said, I will make a recommendation to United Healthcare Advantage Plan to not partner with LA Fitness based on our experience. They are after all a huge insurance company with many aging clients. It's in their best interest to have their aging clients to stay active and healthy.
We arrived Jan 24, 2024 to begin to get healthy. We were met by Peter, the Manager of Personal trainers who pulled us aside to sign up with a personal trainer.
What a nightmare it's been!
The contract and questionable management for personal training has cost us to date...$3050 since Jan 24, 2024. Today is April 26, 2024.
We lost our card before the last $660 charge, and was given a new one with the same company and yet, LA Fitness was able to make this charge to the new card number.
If you find yourself in this situation, discontinue your credit card completely! It's the only way to prevent them from making additional charges.
