I just feel, it’s not about animal safety, care, loving, welfare, or good for the animal. It’s all about the MONEY !!I TRIED to help some animals, dogs and a cat, in a HOT rundown RV , locked on boxes !No AC, no electric, no water, nothing but HEAT.I tried , but I’m not giving up, unless they are all dead by now !!Nobody will help !!

I have adopted two kittens from the humane society- one in June and one in November. The two kittens are not related. The humane society failed to inform us that the second kitten we adopted in November has FIV. Mind you, kittens with FIV are meant to be adopted into a single cat household because FIV is contagious to felines. It was only after an impressively rude conversation with one of the employees yesterday that my kitten's full health history was disclosed to us nearly two months after adopting her. Upon explaining we were not told about the FIV in our second kitten, I was gaslit and indirectly called a liar- the woman strongly stated multiple times that it was very hard to believe the Humane Society did not tell us about the FIV, and insisted that I signed off on a form saying I consent to adopting a kitten with FIV, which did not happen. Shortly after this call, I was conveniently emailed an FIV consent form I've never seen before with the adopter signature (me) line being unsurprisingly blank. Not only was my kitten's health history not disclosed, but my other kitten's health has now been compromised at the hands of the humane society.

Very grateful to the staff here, they were pleasant, helpful and efficient with the adoption process. The facility was very clean and the animals well taken care of. We met and took home Jasmine and she is the perfect fit to our family, we all love her so much already. Many thanks to the Humane Society Naples and the Von Arx Adoption Center!

Had a better experience coming back, all the staff and animals were super open friendly and helpful. Any cat that is surrendered or transferred here is very lucky to be able to reside here (even just for a short period of time) I'll definitely be coming back in the future

nice place to consider adopting cats / dogs at. the only issue is the employee at the front desk who has the absolute worst attitude and is bluntly rude to anyone who walks through the doors. she seems to be the eldest one who works there, everyone else who does is super sweet and helpful.

I was in a desperate situation yesterday morning with my pet rabbit gasping for air. This Humane Society was not open at the early morning time that I went, however I was banging the door and Jonee Miller came to the door and let me in with my sick rabbit. Jonee was so kind to me (3 hours before they opened), she printed out places who could help me with my emergency, she gave me a cage to borrow with timothy hay incase my rabbit needed to eat and a towel to keep her in the dark so she would be able to calm down. She tried to calm me down (which was virtually impossible as I was so upset). She was so helpful and kind to me I greatly appreciate her and, coincidentally, had heard great things about her before from other friends. I will be bringing the cage back to her soon.. I just wanted to write this about her as it's so fresh in my mind.

We went and looked at the cats that were up for adoption on a Saturday. We fell in love with one so we went back the next day (Sunday) to adopt her. Everything was great until Tuesday when we noticed that she has a huge hole in her belly. The hole on her belly was from her being spayed 6 days prior. Yes. They emailed me all the medical records etc. However, they failed to tell me in person " she just got spayed and should be wearing a cone for 2 weeks". So I'm alarmed and call our vet to bring her in. $307 later. My cat ripped open her stitches and has an ear infection in both ears and needs X, Y and Z. Oh, but since I didn't bring her back to the HS they aren't responsible. They also aren't responsible for lacking info that I should put a cone on her for the next 2 weeks. I've never owned a cat before so I don't know they dos and don't after being spayed. I was trusting the humane society. I was also told all the cats on the floor are spayed and ready to be adopted. So I ask " well, why was the cat not wearing a cone at the day that I visited?" .. Apparently they only cone cats that show "interest" in their incision. What?! I'm in total shock right now. If this is the "quality" of care the cat is receiving while they are there then I'm glad I didn't end up going back to have her checked out again.

My family and I like to visit local shelters wherever we travel, visit the animals and leave a donation. Sometimes it becomes a sad experience when you see poorly maintained facilities. However this Naples facility is absolutely gorgeous! We had the opportunity to visit the cat rooms which were truly suites. While Foster homes are best, this facility was the next best thing! Volunteers and staff were welcoming to us and appreciated our visit. I only wish all facilities were as beautiful and clean as this one! Thanks to all those who tirelessly work to be a voice for the unloved so they can meet their forever families and get the love they deserve!
