The technical support at Fidelity is completely broken. I have been a customer since 2003. The technical problems have been over the last six months and are massive. Before that, they were great. I've called probably a couple dozen times and been lied to and bounced around for past six months. I come from the technology world and this group is among the worse of the worse. You can't talk to a technical person. The financial reps try to help but they are powerless. If you don't want messed up data, stay away from Fidelity. I unfortunately am a bit stuck due to the many years I have been a customer and decades of data. I handle my own investments and have outperformed the market by a very wide margin for several decades-- so my performance data is quite important to me. I am a private client with a very large balance and seven figure returns annually so you can imagine how they will treat a new client. If you are a new client considering joining Fidelity two words--stay away.

I have had accounts with Fidelity for over 30 years. It used to be that you could get an advisor on the phone rather quickly. I have a problem with my accounts and spent over an hour on hold without it being answered. I had the phone just setting on a table on speaker phone. Tried again later and same situation. I don't have a clue how to fix the problem with my accounts. Not too thrilled with Fidelity.
